ਜਿਨਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਸੇਵਸਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ ॥ ॥
A quien me ha dado el Nombre, a Él sirvo, a Él me sacrifico.
ਜੋ ਉਸਾਰੇ ਸੋ ਢਾਹਸੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥ ॥
Quien construye, también destruye; sin Él, no hay otro.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਸੰਮੑਲਾ ਤਾ ਤਨਿ ਦੂਖੁ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥੩੧॥ ॥
Por la Gracia del Gurú, me uno a Él, y entonces el cuerpo no sufre. ||31||
ਣਾ ਕੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਕਿਸੁ ਗਹੀ ਣਾ ਕੋ ਹੋਆ ਨ ਹੋਗੁ ॥ ॥
Nadie es mío, ni a nadie poseo; nadie ha sido ni será.
ਆਵਣਿ ਜਾਣਿ ਵਿਗੁਚੀਐ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਵਿਆਪੈ ਰੋਗੁ ॥ ॥
En el ir y venir de la vida, nos separamos; la dualidad propaga la enfermedad.
ਣਾਮ ਵਿਹੂਣੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਕਲਰ ਕੰਧ ਗਿਰੰਤਿ ॥ ॥
Sin el Nombre, los seres humanos son como paredes de barro que se derrumban.
ਵਿਣੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਕਿਉ ਛੂਟੀਐ ਜਾਇ ਰਸਾਤਲਿ ਅੰਤਿ ॥ ॥
Sin el Nombre, ¿cómo podemos liberarnos? Al final, caemos al abismo.
ਗਣਤ ਗਣਾਵੈ ਅਖਰੀ ਅਗਣਤੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਸੋਇ ॥ ॥
Cuenta las cuentas del alfabeto, pero Él es Innumerable y Verdadero.
ਅਗਿਆਨੀ ਮਤਿਹੀਣੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਰ ਬਿਨੁ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥ ॥
El ignorante carece de entendimiento; sin el Gurú, no hay sabiduría.
ਤੂਟੀ ਤੰਤੁ ਰਬਾਬ ਕੀ ਵਾਜੈ ਨਹੀ ਵਿਜੋਗਿ ॥ ॥
La cuerda del rabab se ha roto, no suena, hay separación.
ਵਿਛੁੜਿਆ ਮੇਲੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਰਿ ਸੰਜੋਗ ॥੩੨॥ ॥
Dios, une al separado, oh Nanak, crea la unión. ||32||
ਤਰਵਰੁ ਕਾਇਆ ਪੰਖਿ ਮਨੁ ਤਰਵਰਿ ਪੰਖੀ ਪੰਚ ॥ ॥
El cuerpo es un árbol, la mente un pájaro; en el árbol, cinco pájaros (los sentidos).
ਤਤੁ ਚੁਗਹਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਏਕਸੇ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਫਾਸ ਨ ਰੰਚ ॥ ॥
Pican el fruto juntos, pero no tienen apego a él.
ਉਡਹਿ ਤ ਬੇਗੁਲ ਬੇਗੁਲੇ ਤਾਕਹਿ ਚੋਗ ਘਣੀ ॥ ॥
Vuelan como halcones, buscando abundante alimento.
ਪੰਖ ਤੁਟੇ ਫਾਹੀ ਪੜੀ ਅਵਗੁਣਿ ਭੀੜ ਬਣੀ ॥ ॥
Las alas se rompen, caen en la trampa, los defectos se multiplican.
ਬਿਨੁ ਸਾਚੇ ਕਿਉ ਛੂਟੀਐ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਕਰਮਿ ਮਣੀ ॥ ॥
Sin el Verdadero, ¿cómo podemos liberarnos? Las virtudes de Dios son la joya que anhelo.
ਆਪਿ ਛਡਾਏ ਛੂਟੀਐ ਵਡਾ ਆਪਿ ਧਣੀ ॥ ॥
Él mismo nos libera; Él es el Grande, el Rico.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਛੂਟੀਐ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਆਪਿ ਕਰੇਇ ॥ ॥
Por la Gracia del Gurú somos liberados; Él mismo concede Su Gracia.
ਅਪਣੈ ਹਾਥਿ ਵਡਾਈਆ ਜੈ ਭਾਵੈ ਤੈ ਦੇਇ ॥੩੩॥ ॥
Con Su propia mano otorga grandeza; da como Él quiere. ||33||
ਥਰ ਥਰ ਕੰਪੈ ਜੀਅੜਾ ਥਾਨ ਵਿਹੂਣਾ ਹੋਇ ॥ ॥
El alma tiembla y se estremece cuando carece de lugar.
ਥਾਨਿ ਮਾਨਿ ਸਚੁ ਏਕੁ ਹੈ ਕਾਜੁ ਨ ਫੀਟੈ ਕੋਇ ॥ ॥
En el lugar de honor está el Único Verdadero; nada puede dañarlo.
ਥਿਰੁ ਨਾਰਾਇਣੁ ਥਿਰੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਥਿਰੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥ ॥
Eterno es Dios, eterno es el Gurú, eterno es el verdadero discernimiento.
ਸੁਰਿ ਨਰ ਨਾਥਹ ਨਾਥੁ ਤੂ ਨਿਧਾਰਾ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥ ॥
De devas y humanos, Tú eres el Señor, el apoyo y la base.
ਸਰਬੇ ਥਾਨ ਥਨੰਤਰੀ ਤੂ ਦਾਤਾ ਦਾਤਾਰੁ ॥ ॥
El Sanador de todos los lugares, Tú eres el Dador, el Donante.
ਜਹ ਦੇਖਾ ਤਹ ਏਕੁ ਤੂ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰੁ ॥ ॥
Donde miro, allí estás Tú, el Infinito, sin límites.
ਥਾਨ ਥਨੰਤਰਿ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ॥ ॥

ਅਣਮੰਗਿਆ ਦਾਨੁ ਦੇਵਸੀ ਵਡਾ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰੁ ॥੩੪॥ ॥
You give gifts even when they are not asked for; You are great, inaccessible and infinite. ||34||
ਦਇਆ ਦਾਨੁ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਤੂ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਦੇਖਣਹਾਰੁ ॥ ॥
O Merciful Lord, You are the embodiment of mercy; creating the Creation, You behold it.
ਦਇਆ ਕਰਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਲਿ ਲੈਹਿ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਢਾਹਿ ਉਸਾਰਿ ॥ ॥
Please shower Your Mercy upon me, O God, and unite me with Yourself. In an instant, You destroy and rebuild.
ਦਾਨਾ ਤੂ ਬੀਨਾ ਤੁਹੀ ਦਾਨਾ ਕੈ ਸਿਰਿ ਦਾਨੁ ॥ ॥
You are all-wise and all-seeing; You are the Greatest Giver of all givers.
ਦਾਲਦ ਭੰਜਨ ਦੁਖ ਦਲਣ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਧਿਆਨੁ ॥੩੫॥ ॥
He is the Eradicator of poverty, and the Destroyer of pain; the Gurmukh realizes spiritual wisdom and meditation. ||35||
ਧਨਿ ਗਇਐ ਬਹਿ ਝੂਰੀਐ ਧਨ ਮਹਿ ਚੀਤੁ ਗਵਾਰ ॥ ॥
Losing his wealth, he cries out in anguish; the fool's consciousness is engrossed in wealth.
ਧਨੁ ਵਿਰਲੀ ਸਚੁ ਸੰਚਿਆ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਿਆਰਿ ॥ ॥
How rare are those who gather the wealth of Truth, and love the Immaculate Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਧਨੁ ਗਇਆ ਤਾ ਜਾਣ ਦੇਹਿ ਜੇ ਰਾਚਹਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਏਕ ॥ ॥
If by losing your wealth, you may become absorbed in the Love of the One Lord, then just let it go.
ਮਨੁ ਦੀਜੈ ਸਿਰੁ ਸਉਪੀਐ ਭੀ ਕਰਤੇ ਕੀ ਟੇਕ ॥ ॥
Dedicate your mind, and surrender your head; seek only the Support of the Creator Lord.
ਧੰਧਾ ਧਾਵਤ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਅਨੰਦੁ ॥ ॥
Worldly affairs and wanderings cease, when the mind is filled with the bliss of the Shabad.
ਦੁਰਜਨ ਤੇ ਸਾਜਨ ਭਏ ਭੇਟੇ ਗੁਰ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ॥ ॥
Even one's enemies become friends, meeting with the Guru, the Lord of the Universe.
ਬਨੁ ਬਨੁ ਫਿਰਤੀ ਢੂਢਤੀ ਬਸਤੁ ਰਹੀ ਘਰਿ ਬਾਰਿ ॥ ॥
Wandering from forest to forest searching, you will find that those things are within the home of your own heart.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮੇਲੀ ਮਿਲਿ ਰਹੀ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਖੁ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ॥੩੬॥ ॥
United by the True Guru, you shall remain united, and the pains of birth and death will be ended. ||36||
ਨਾਨਾ ਕਰਤ ਨ ਛੂਟੀਐ ਵਿਣੁ ਗੁਣ ਜਮ ਪੁਰਿ ਜਾਹਿ ॥ ॥
Through various rituals, one does not find release. Without virtue, one is sent to the City of Death.
ਨਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਏਹੁ ਨ ਓਹੁ ਹੈ ਅਵਗੁਣਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਪਛੁਤਾਹਿ ॥ ॥
One will not have this world or the next; committing sinful mistakes, one comes to regret and repent in the end.
