ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਸੁਨਿ ਕੈ ਜਾਟਰੋ ਉਠਿ ਭਗਤੀ ਲਾਗਾ ॥ ॥

[De esta manera, al escuchar, el campesino se levantó y se dedicó a la devoción.

ਮਿਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਖਿ ਗੁਸਾਈਆ ਧੰਨਾ ਵਡਭਾਗਾ ॥੪॥੨॥ ॥

Se encontró con el Señor en persona; Dhanna fue muy afortunado.

ਰੇ ਚਿਤ ਚੇਤਸਿ ਕੀ ਨ ਦਯਾਲ ਦਮੋਦਰ ਬਿਬਹਿ ਨ ਜਾਨਸਿ ਕੋਈ ॥ ॥

Oh mente, oh conciencia, nadie conoce al misericordioso Damodar.

ਜੇ ਧਾਵਹਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ਖੰਡ ਕਉ ਕਰਤਾ ਕਰੈ ਸੁ ਹੋਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥

Si corres por todo el universo, el Creador lo hará.

ਜਨਨੀ ਕੇਰੇ ਉਦਰ ਉਦਕ ਮਹਿ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਕੀਆ ਦਸ ਦੁਆਰਾ ॥ ॥

Madre, en el agua del útero, el cuerpo fue hecho con diez puertas.

ਦੇਇ ਅਹਾਰੁ ਅਗਨਿ ਮਹਿ ਰਾਖੈ ਐਸਾ ਖਸਮੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ॥

Él da alimento y lo protege en el fuego; tal es nuestro Señor.

ਕੁੰਮੀ ਜਲ ਮਾਹਿ ਤਨ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਪੰਖ ਖੀਰੁ ਤਿਨ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ ॥

La calabaza está en el agua, su cuerpo está fuera; no tiene alas ni crema.

ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦ ਮਨੋਹਰ ਸਮਝਿ ਦੇਖੁ ਮਨ ਮਾਹੀ ॥੨॥ ॥

Entiende y mira en tu mente al Ser Perfecto, la Suprema Alegría, el encantador.

ਪਾਖਣਿ ਕੀਟੁ ਗੁਪਤੁ ਹੋਇ ਰਹਤਾ ਤਾ ਚੋ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ ॥

El insecto está oculto en la cáscara; no hay camino desde allí.

ਕਹੈ ਧੰਨਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਤਾਹੂ ਕੋ ਮਤ ਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਡਰਾਂਹੀ ॥੩॥੩॥ ॥

Dhanna dice: Oh, Perfecto, no temas, oh alma.

ਆਸਾ ਸੇਖ ਫਰੀਦ ਜੀਉ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥

Amor del corazón, aquellos son verdaderos.

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ॥

Aquellos que tienen una cosa en la mente y otra en la boca son falsos.

ਦਿਲਹੁ ਮੁਹਬਤਿ ਜਿੰਨੑ ਸੇਈ ਸਚਿਆ ॥ ॥

Entregado al amor de Dios, en el color de la visión divina.

ਜਿਨੑ ਮਨਿ ਹੋਰੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਰੁ ਸਿ ਕਾਂਢੇ ਕਚਿਆ ॥੧॥ ॥

Aquellos que olvidan el Nombre, llevan la carga de la tierra.

ਰਤੇ ਇਸਕ ਖੁਦਾਇ ਰੰਗਿ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਕੇ ॥ ॥

Él mismo los tomó y los unió a su puerta, esos derviches.

ਵਿਸਰਿਆ ਜਿਨੑ ਨਾਮੁ ਤੇ ਭੁਇ ਭਾਰੁ ਥੀਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥

Aquellos son bendecidos, sus madres vinieron a ser fructíferas.

ਆਪਿ ਲੀਏ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ਦਰਿ ਦਰਵੇਸ ਸੇ ॥ ॥

Oh Señor, ilimitado, inaccesible, infinito Tú.

ਤਿਨ ਧੰਨੁ ਜਣੇਦੀ ਮਾਉ ਆਏ ਸਫਲੁ ਸੇ ॥੨॥ ॥

Aquellos que Te buscan, besan Tus pies con verdad.

ਪਰਵਦਗਾਰ ਅਪਾਰ ਅਗਮ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਤੂ ॥ ॥

Bajo Tu protección, oh Dios, Tú eres el perdonador.

ਜਿਨਾ ਪਛਾਤਾ ਸਚੁ ਚੁੰਮਾ ਪੈਰ ਮੂੰ ॥੩॥ ॥

Oh Sehkh Farid, concede la gracia de Tu servicio.

ਤੇਰੀ ਪਨਹ ਖੁਦਾਇ ਤੂ ਬਖਸੰਦਗੀ ॥ ॥

Habla Sehkh Farid, amado de Dios.

ਸੇਖ ਫਰੀਦੈ ਖੈਰੁ ਦੀਜੈ ਬੰਦਗੀ ॥੪॥੧॥ ॥

Este cuerpo se convertirá en polvo, una humilde morada en la tumba.

ਆਸਾ ॥ ॥

Hoy es el encuentro, Sehkh Farid, con las golondrinas, el corazón está inquieto.

ਬੋਲੈ ਸੇਖ ਫਰੀਦੁ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਅਲਹ ਲਗੇ ॥ ॥

Says Shaykh Fareed, O my dear friend, attach yourself to the Lord.

ਇਹੁ ਤਨੁ ਹੋਸੀ ਖਾਕ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਗੋਰ ਘਰੇ ॥੧॥ ॥

This body shall turn to dust, and its home shall be a neglected graveyard. ||1||

ਆਜੁ ਮਿਲਾਵਾ ਸੇਖ ਫਰੀਦ ਟਾਕਿਮ ਕੂੰਜੜੀਆ ਮਨਹੁ ਮਚਿੰਦੜੀਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥

You can meet the Lord today, O Shaykh Fareed, if you restrain your bird-like desires which keep your mind in turmoil. ||1||Pause||

ਜੇ ਜਾਣਾ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਈਐ ਘੁਮਿ ਨ ਆਈਐ ॥ ॥

If I had known that I was to die, and not return again,

ਝੂਠੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਲਗਿ ਨ ਆਪੁ ਵਞਾਈਐ ॥੨॥ ॥

I would not have ruined myself by clinging to the world of falsehood. ||2||

ਬੋਲੀਐ ਸਚੁ ਧਰਮੁ ਝੂਠੁ ਨ ਬੋਲੀਐ ॥ ॥

So speak the Truth, in righteousness, and do not speak falsehood.

ਜੋ ਗੁਰੁ ਦਸੈ ਵਾਟ ਮੁਰੀਦਾ ਜੋਲੀਐ ॥੩॥ ॥

The disciple ought to travel the route, pointed out by the Guru. ||3||

ਛੈਲ ਲੰਘੰਦੇ ਪਾਰਿ ਗੋਰੀ ਮਨੁ ਧੀਰਿਆ ॥ ॥

Seeing the youths being carried across, the hearts of the beautiful young soul-brides are encouraged.

ਕੰਚਨ ਵੰਨੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਕਲਵਤਿ ਚੀਰਿਆ ॥੪॥ ॥

Those who side with the glitter of gold, are cut down with a saw. ||4||

ਸੇਖ ਹੈਯਾਤੀ ਜਗਿ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਥਿਰੁ ਰਹਿਆ ॥ ॥

O Shaykh, no one's life is permanent in this world.

ਜਿਸੁ ਆਸਣਿ ਹਮ ਬੈਠੇ ਕੇਤੇ ਬੈਸਿ ਗਇਆ ॥੫॥ ॥

That seat, upon which we now sit - many others sat on it and have since departed. ||5||

ਕਤਿਕ ਕੂੰਜਾਂ ਚੇਤਿ ਡਉ ਸਾਵਣਿ ਬਿਜੁਲੀਆਂ ॥ ॥

As the swallows appear in the month of Katik, forest fires in the month of Chayt, and lightning in Saawan,

ਸੀਆਲੇ ਸੋਹੰਦੀਆਂ ਪਿਰ ਗਲਿ ਬਾਹੜੀਆਂ ॥੬॥ ॥

and as the bride's arms adorn her husband's neck in winter;||6||

ਚਲੇ ਚਲਣਹਾਰ ਵਿਚਾਰਾ ਲੇਇ ਮਨੋ ॥ ॥

Just so, the transitory human bodies pass away. Reflect upon this in your mind.

ਗੰਢੇਦਿਆਂ ਛਿਅ ਮਾਹ ਤੁੜੰਦਿਆ ਹਿਕੁ ਖਿਨੋ ॥੭॥ ॥

It takes six months to form the body, but it breaks in an instant. ||7||

ਜਿਮੀ ਪੁਛੈ ਅਸਮਾਨ ਫਰੀਦਾ ਖੇਵਟ ਕਿੰਨਿ ਗਏ ॥ ॥

O Fareed, the earth asks the sky, ""Where have the boatmen gone?""

ਜਾਲਣ ਗੋਰਾਂ ਨਾਲਿ ਉਲਾਮੇ ਜੀਅ ਸਹੇ ॥੮॥੨॥ ॥

Some have been cremated, and some lie in their graves; their souls are suffering rebukes. ||8||2||
