ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਪਾਏ ਨਿਜ ਥਾਉ ॥੧॥ ॥
Sirviendo al Satgurú, uno encuentra su verdadero lugar. ||1||
ਮਨ ਚੂਰੇ ਖਟੁ ਦਰਸਨ ਜਾਣੁ ॥ ॥
La mente se quiebra, los seis chakras se abren a la visión divina.
ਸਰਬ ਜੋਤਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਭਗਵਾਨੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥
El Señor omnipresente, la Luz completa, es Dios. ||1||Pausa||
ਅਧਿਕ ਤਿਆਸ ਭੇਖ ਬਹੁ ਕਰੈ ॥ ॥
Se viste con muchos disfraces y realiza numerosos rituales,
ਦੁਖੁ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਸੁਖੁ ਤਨਿ ਪਰਹਰੈ ॥ ॥
pero el sufrimiento y el placer mundanos aún atormentan el cuerpo.
ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਹਿਰੈ ॥ ॥
La lujuria y la ira roban los tesoros internos.
ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਛੋਡਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਨਿਸਤਰੈ ॥੨॥ ॥
Abandonando la dualidad, uno cruza nadando aferrándose al Nombre. ||2||
ਸਿਫਤਿ ਸਲਾਹਣੁ ਸਹਜ ਅਨੰਦ ॥ ॥
Alabanza y glorificación traen dicha y paz espontáneas.
ਸਖਾ ਸੈਨੁ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੁ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ॥ ॥
El amigo, el compañero, el amor por Gobind.
ਆਪੇ ਕਰੇ ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸਿੰਦੁ ॥ ॥
Él mismo actúa, Él mismo perdona.
ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਹਿ ਆਗੈ ਜਿੰਦੁ ॥੩॥ ॥
Cuerpo y mente se sacrifican ante Dios, el alma se rinde. ||3||
ਝੂਠ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਮਹਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਦੇਹ ॥ ॥
La falsedad y el vicio traen gran sufrimiento al cuerpo.
ਭੇਖ ਵਰਨ ਦੀਸਹਿ ਸਭਿ ਖੇਹ ॥ ॥
Vestimentas y castas se ven como polvo.
ਜੋ ਉਪਜੈ ਸੋ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਇ ॥ ॥
Lo que nace, viene y va.
ਨਾਨਕ ਅਸਥਿਰੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਜਾਇ ॥੪॥੧੧॥ ॥
Oh Nanak, lo inestable encuentra paz en el Nombre. ||4||11||
ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ॥ ॥
Asa, Primer Guru ||
ਏਕੋ ਸਰਵਰੁ ਕਮਲ ਅਨੂਪ ॥ ॥
Hay un solo lago, un loto incomparable.
ਸਦਾ ਬਿਗਾਸੈ ਪਰਮਲ ਰੂਪ ॥ ॥
Siempre floreciendo, de fragante belleza.
ਊਜਲ ਮੋਤੀ ਚੂਗਹਿ ਹੰਸ ॥ ॥
Cisnes blancos picotean perlas brillantes.
ਸਰਬ ਕਲਾ ਜਗਦੀਸੈ ਅੰਸ ॥੧॥ ॥
Todas las artes son parte del Señor del Universo. ||1||
ਜੋ ਦੀਸੈ ਸੋ ਉਪਜੈ ਬਿਨਸੈ ॥ ॥
Lo que se ve, nace y perece.
ਬਿਨੁ ਜਲ ਸਰਵਰਿ ਕਮਲੁ ਨ ਦੀਸੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥
Sin agua, el loto no se ve en el lago. ||1||Pausa||
ਬਿਰਲਾ ਬੂਝੈ ਪਾਵੈ ਭੇਦੁ ॥ ॥
Raro es quien comprende y encuentra el secreto.
ਸਾਖਾ ਤੀਨਿ ਕਹੈ ਨਿਤ ਬੇਦੁ ॥ ॥
Las tres ramas de los Vedas lo declaran constantemente.
ਨਾਦ ਬਿੰਦ ਕੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥ ॥
La conciencia se absorbe en la unión del sonido y el punto.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਪਰਮ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇ ॥੨॥ ॥
Sirviendo al Satgurú, uno alcanza el estado supremo. ||2||
ਮੁਕਤੋ ਰਾਤਉ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਵਾਂਤਉ ॥ ॥
Liberados, se regocijan, imbuidos de color y alegría.
ਰਾਜਨ ਰਾਜਿ ਸਦਾ ਬਿਗਸਾਂਤਉ ॥ ॥
Reinan en el reino, siempre floreciendo.
ਜਿਸੁ ਤੂੰ ਰਾਖਹਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ॥ ॥
A quien Tú proteges con Tu gracia,
ਬੂਡਤ ਪਾਹਨ ਤਾਰਹਿ ਤਾਰਿ ॥੩॥ ॥
Las piedras que se hunden, Tú las llevas a la orilla. ||3||
ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣ ਮਹਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣ ਮਹਿ ਜਾਣਿਆ ॥ ॥
La Luz está en los tres mundos, conocida en los tres mundos.
ਉਲਟ ਭਈ ਘਰੁ ਘਰ ਮਹਿ ਆਣਿਆ ॥ ॥
La inversión ha ocurrido, el hogar se ha encontrado dentro del hogar.
ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਲਾਗੈ ਪਾਇ ॥੪॥੧੨॥ ॥
Día y noche, adoran con amor y devoción.
ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ॥ ॥
Nanak se postra a sus pies. ||4||12||
ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਸਾਚੀ ਹੁਜਤਿ ਦੂਰਿ ॥ ॥
Asa, Primer Guru ||
ਬਹੁਤੁ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਲਾਗੈ ਧੂਰਿ ॥ ॥
Con la sabiduría del Gurú, la verdad prevalece, la falsedad desaparece.
ਲਾਗੀ ਮੈਲੁ ਮਿਟੈ ਸਚ ਨਾਇ ॥ ॥
Mucha astucia se convierte en polvo.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਰਹੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥੧॥ ॥
By Guru's Grace, one remains lovingly attached to the Lord. ||1||
ਹੈ ਹਜੂਰਿ ਹਾਜਰੁ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥ ॥
He is the Presence Ever-present; offer your prayers to Him.
ਦੁਖੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਸਾਚੁ ਕਰਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਾਸਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥
Pain and pleasure are in the Hands of God, the True Creator. ||1||Pause||
ਕੂੜੁ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਵੈ ॥ ॥
One who practices falsehood comes and goes.
ਕਹਣਿ ਕਥਨਿ ਵਾਰਾ ਨਹੀ ਆਵੈ ॥ ॥
By speaking and talking, His limits cannot be found.
ਕਿਆ ਦੇਖਾ ਸੂਝ ਬੂਝ ਨ ਪਾਵੈ ॥ ॥
Whatever one sees, is not understood.
ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਮਨਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥੨॥ ॥
Without the Name, satisfaction does not enter into the mind. ||2||
ਜੋ ਜਨਮੇ ਸੇ ਰੋਗਿ ਵਿਆਪੇ ॥ ॥
Whoever is born is afflicted by disease,
ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੂਖਿ ਸੰਤਾਪੇ ॥ ॥
tortured by the pain of egotism and Maya.
ਸੇ ਜਨ ਬਾਚੇ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਰਾਖੇ ॥ ॥
They alone are saved, who are protected by God.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਖੇ ॥੩॥ ॥
Serving the True Guru, they drink in the Amrit, the Ambrosial Nectar. ||3||
ਚਲਤਉ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਖੈ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਚਾਖੈ ॥ ॥
The unstable mind is restrained by tasting this Nectar.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਬਦੁ ਭਾਖੈ ॥ ॥
Serving the True Guru, one comes to cherish the Ambrosial Nectar of the Shabad.
ਸਾਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਗਤਿ ਪਾਏ ॥ ॥
Through the True Word of the Shabad, the state of liberation is obtained.
ਨਾਨਕ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਏ ॥੪॥੧੩॥ ॥
O Nanak, self-conceit is eradicated from within. ||4||13||
ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ॥ ॥
Aasaa, First Mehla:
ਜੋ ਤਿਨਿ ਕੀਆ ਸੋ ਸਚੁ ਥੀਆ ॥ ॥
Whatever He has done, has proved to be true.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਆ ॥ ॥
The True Guru bestows the Ambrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਮਨਿ ਭੰਗੁ ॥ ॥
With the Naam in the heart, the mind is not separated from the Lord.
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਲਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸੰਗੁ ॥੧॥ ॥
Night and day, one dwells with the Beloved. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਅਪਨੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥ ॥
O Lord, please keep me in the Protection of Your Sanctuary.
