ਓਰੈ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਕਿਨਹੂ ਕੀਆ ॥ ॥

[Nada se ha hecho nada para nadie.]

ਲੇਖੈ ਕਤਹਿ ਨ ਛੂਟੀਐ ਖਿਨੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਭੂਲਨਹਾਰ ॥ ॥

[En ningún registro se escapa, momento a momento, el que olvida.]

ਬਖਸਨਹਾਰ ਬਖਸਿ ਲੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਰਿ ਉਤਾਰ ॥੧॥ ॥

[El que perdona, perdona, Nanak, y lo lleva al otro lado.]

ਲੂਣ ਹਰਾਮੀ ਗੁਨਹਗਾਰ ਬੇਗਾਨਾ ਅਲਪ ਮਤਿ ॥ ॥

[El ladrón de sal, el pecador, el extraño, el de poca inteligencia,]

ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਸੁਖ ਦੀਏ ਤਾਹਿ ਨ ਜਾਨਤ ਤਤ ॥ ॥

[el que da vida y cuerpo, a Él no conoce su esencia.]

ਲਾਹਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਕਾਰਨੇ ਦਹ ਦਿਸਿ ਢੂਢਨ ਜਾਇ ॥ ॥

[Por la codicia de la riqueza, va buscando en las diez direcciones,]

ਦੇਵਨਹਾਰ ਦਾਤਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਿਮਖ ਨ ਮਨਹਿ ਬਸਾਇ ॥ ॥

[al dador de dones, al Señor, ni por un instante lo tiene en su mente.]

ਲਾਲਚ ਝੂਠ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਮੋਹ ਇਆ ਸੰਪੈ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ ॥

[La avaricia, la mentira, los vicios, el apego, se apoderan de su mente,]

ਲੰਪਟ ਚੋਰ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਮਹਾ ਤਿਨਹੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਿਹਾਇ ॥ ॥

[con los vagos, los ladrones, los calumniadores, pasa su tiempo.]

ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਬਖਸਿ ਲੈਹਿ ਖੋਟੇ ਸੰਗਿ ਖਰੇ ॥ ॥

[Si te agrada, perdona, a los falsos con los verdaderos.]

ਨਾਨਕ ਭਾਵੈ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਾਹਨ ਨੀਰਿ ਤਰੇ ॥੫੨॥ ॥

[Nanak, si agrada al Dios Supremo, cruza el océano con piedras.]

ਖਾਤ ਪੀਤ ਖੇਲਤ ਹਸਤ ਭਰਮੇ ਜਨਮ ਅਨੇਕ ॥ ॥

[Comiendo, bebiendo, jugando, riendo, en innumerables nacimientos,]

ਭਵਜਲ ਤੇ ਕਾਢਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ॥੧॥ ॥

[del océano de la existencia, sácame, Señor, Nanak, en Ti confío.]

ਖੇਲਤ ਖੇਲਤ ਆਇਓ ਅਨਿਕ ਜੋਨਿ ਦੁਖ ਪਾਇ ॥ ॥

[Jugando, jugando, he venido, a muchas existencias, sufriendo dolor.]

ਖੇਦ ਮਿਟੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਮਿਲਤ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬਚਨ ਸਮਾਇ ॥ ॥

[El sufrimiento se desvanece, encontrando a los santos, las palabras del Gurú se integran.]

ਖਿਮਾ ਗਹੀ ਸਚੁ ਸੰਚਿਓ ਖਾਇਓ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਨਾਮ ॥ ॥

[El perdón es recibido, la verdad se acumula, el néctar del nombre se consume.]

ਖਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਭਈ ਅਨਦ ਸੂਖ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ॥ ॥

[La verdadera gracia del Señor ha llegado, la alegría y la paz.]

ਖੇਪ ਨਿਬਾਹੀ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਲਾਭ ਘਰਿ ਆਏ ਪਤਿਵੰਤ ॥ ॥

[El juego se ha terminado, mucha ganancia, en casa llega la respetabilidad.]

ਖਰਾ ਦਿਲਾਸਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਆ ਆਇ ਮਿਲੇ ਭਗਵੰਤ ॥ ॥

[El verdadero consuelo lo da el Gurú, se encuentra con el Señor.]

ਆਪਨ ਕੀਆ ਕਰਹਿ ਆਪਿ ਆਗੈ ਪਾਛੈ ਆਪਿ ॥ ॥

[Él mismo hace, Él mismo está delante y detrás.]

ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋਊ ਸਰਾਹੀਐ ਜਿ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਬਿਆਪਿ ॥੫੩॥ ॥

[Nanak, aquel es alabado, que está omnipresente en cada ser.]

ਆਏ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਨਾਗਤੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਦਇਆਲ ॥ ॥

[He venido, Señor, a buscar refugio, océano de gracia, misericordioso.]

ਏਕ ਅਖਰੁ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਬਸਤ ਨਾਨਕ ਹੋਤ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥੧॥ ॥

[Una letra, el Señor, reside en la mente, Nanak, se vuelve dichoso.]

ਅਖਰ ਮਹਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਧਾਰੇ ॥ ॥

[En la letra, el Señor ha creado los tres mundos.]

ਅਖਰ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਬੇਦ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ॥ ॥

Created from the Word, the Vedas are contemplated.

ਅਖਰ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਪੁਰਾਨਾ ॥ ॥

From the Word, came the Shaastras, Simritees and Puraanas.

ਅਖਰ ਨਾਦ ਕਥਨ ਵਖੵਾਨਾ ॥ ॥

From the Word, came the sound current of the Naad, speeches and explanations.

ਅਖਰ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਭੈ ਭਰਮਾ ॥ ॥

From the Word, comes the way of liberation from fear and doubt.

ਅਖਰ ਕਰਮ ਕਿਰਤਿ ਸੁਚ ਧਰਮਾ ॥ ॥

From the Word, come religious rituals, karma, sacredness and Dharma.

ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿਮਾਨ ਅਖਰ ਹੈ ਜੇਤਾ ॥ ॥

In the visible universe, the Word is seen.

ਨਾਨਕ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਨਿਰਲੇਪਾ ॥੫੪॥ ॥

O Nanak, the Supreme Lord God remains unattached and untouched. ||54||

Shalok:

ਹਥਿ ਕਲੰਮ ਅਗੰਮ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਲਿਖਾਵਤੀ ॥ ॥

With pen in hand, the Inaccessible Lord writes man's destiny on his forehead.

ਉਰਝਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਸਭ ਸੰਗਿ ਅਨੂਪ ਰੂਪਾਵਤੀ ॥ ॥

The Lord of Incomparable Beauty is involved with all.

ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਹਨੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ਮੁਖਹੁ ਤੁਹਾਰੀਆ ॥ ॥

I cannot describe Your Praises with my mouth, O Lord.

ਮੋਹੀ ਦੇਖਿ ਦਰਸੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀਆ ॥੧॥ ॥

Nanak is fascinated, gazing upon the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan; he is a sacrifice to You. ||1||

Pauree:

ਹੇ ਅਚੁਤ ਹੇ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਅਘਨਾਸ ॥ ॥

O Immovable Lord, O Supreme Lord God, Imperishable, Destroyer of sins:

ਹੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੇ ਸਰਬ ਮੈ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਗੁਣਤਾਸ ॥ ॥

O Perfect, All-pervading Lord, Destroyer of pain, Treasure of virtue:

ਹੇ ਸੰਗੀ ਹੇ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ਹੇ ਨਿਰਗੁਣ ਸਭ ਟੇਕ ॥ ॥

O Companion, Formless, Absolute Lord, Support of all:

ਹੇ ਗੋਬਿਦ ਹੇ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸਦਾ ਬਿਬੇਕ ॥ ॥

O Lord of the Universe, Treasure of excellence, with clear eternal understanding:

ਹੇ ਅਪਰੰਪਰ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ਹਹਿ ਭੀ ਹੋਵਨਹਾਰ ॥ ॥

Most Remote of the Remote, Lord God: You are, You were, and You shall always be.

ਹੇ ਸੰਤਹ ਕੈ ਸਦਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਿਧਾਰਾ ਆਧਾਰ ॥ ॥

O Constant Companion of the Saints, You are the Support of the unsupported.

ਹੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਹਉ ਦਾਸਰੋ ਮੈ ਨਿਰਗੁਨ ਗੁਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਕੋਇ ॥ ॥

O my Lord and Master, I am Your slave. I am worthless, I have no worth at all.
