ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਖੁ ॥ ॥
Prueba el néctar del Gurú, la palabra de Dios.
ਅਵਰਿ ਜਤਨ ਕਹਹੁ ਕਉਨ ਕਾਜ ॥ ॥
¿Qué otros esfuerzos tienen algún valor?
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਰਾਖੈ ਆਪਿ ਲਾਜ ॥੨॥ ॥
Con gracia, Él mismo protege nuestro honor. ||2||
ਕਿਆ ਮਾਨੁਖ ਕਹਹੁ ਕਿਆ ਜੋਰੁ ॥ ॥
¿Qué es un ser humano? ¿Qué poder tiene?
ਝੂਠਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਕਾ ਸਭੁ ਸੋਰੁ ॥ ॥
El orgullo de Maya es falso.
ਕਰਣ ਕਰਾਵਨਹਾਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥ ॥
El Maestro es el Hacedor y el que hace hacer.
ਸਗਲ ਘਟਾ ਕੇ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥੩॥ ॥
Él es inmanente en todos los corazones. ||3||
ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਏਹੁ ॥ ॥
Esta es la verdadera felicidad, la felicidad de todas las felicidades.
ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਮਨੈ ਮਹਿ ਲੇਹੁ ॥ ॥
Toma la enseñanza del Gurú en tu mente.
ਜਾ ਕਉ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ॥ ॥
Aquel cuyo corazón se aferra al Nombre de Dios,
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਧੰਨੁ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ॥੪॥੭॥੭੬॥ ॥
dice Nanak, es bendecido y afortunado. ||4||7||76||
ਗਉੜੀ ਗੁਆਰੇਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ॥
Raag Gauri Guareri, Quinto Guru:
ਸੁਣਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਉਤਾਰੀ ਮੈਲੁ ॥ ॥
Escuchando las historias de Dios, la suciedad se elimina.
ਮਹਾ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਭਏ ਸੁਖ ਸੈਲੁ ॥ ॥
Se vuelven muy puros, moradas de felicidad.
ਵਡੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੁ ॥ ॥
Con gran fortuna, se encuentra la compañía de los santos.
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗੋ ਰੰਗੁ ॥੧॥ ॥
Se tiñen del amor del Dios Supremo. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਜਨੁ ਤਾਰਿਓ ॥ ॥
Cantando el Nombre de Dios, Hari Hari, los seres son salvados.
ਅਗਨਿ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਗੁਰਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਉਤਾਰਿਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥
El Gurú los lleva a través del océano de fuego. ||1||Pausa||
ਕਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਮਨ ਸੀਤਲ ਭਏ ॥ ॥
Cantando las alabanzas, la mente se vuelve tranquila.
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਗਏ ॥ ॥
Los pecados de incontables vidas desaparecen.
ਸਰਬ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਪੇਖੇ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ ॥
Todos los tesoros se ven dentro de la mente.
ਅਬ ਢੂਢਨ ਕਾਹੇ ਕਉ ਜਾਹਿ ॥੨॥ ॥
¿A dónde ir ahora a buscar? ||2||
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਜਬ ਭਏ ਦਇਆਲ ॥ ॥
Cuando Dios se vuelve misericordioso,
ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਈ ਸੇਵਕ ਘਾਲ ॥ ॥
El trabajo del sirviente se completa.
ਬੰਧਨ ਕਾਟਿ ਕੀਏ ਅਪਨੇ ਦਾਸ ॥ ॥
Él corta las ataduras de Sus sirvientes.
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਗੁਣਤਾਸ ॥੩॥ ॥
Meditando, meditando, meditando en Sus virtudes. ||3||
ਏਕੋ ਮਨਿ ਏਕੋ ਸਭ ਠਾਇ ॥ ॥
El Único está en la mente, el Único está en todas partes.
ਪੂਰਨ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਸਭ ਜਾਇ ॥ ॥
El Perfecto lo impregna todo.
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਸਭੁ ਭਰਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਇਆ ॥ ॥
El Gurú perfecto elimina todas las dudas.
ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੮॥੭੭॥ ॥
Meditando en Dios, Nanak encuentra la paz. ||4||8||77||
ਗਉੜੀ ਗੁਆਰੇਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ॥
Gauree Gwaarayree, Fifth Mehla:
ਅਗਲੇ ਮੁਏ ਸਿ ਪਾਛੈ ਪਰੇ ॥ ॥
Those who have died have been forgotten.
ਜੋ ਉਬਰੇ ਸੇ ਬੰਧਿ ਲਕੁ ਖਰੇ ॥ ॥
Those who survive have fastened their belts.
ਜਿਹ ਧੰਧੇ ਮਹਿ ਓਇ ਲਪਟਾਏ ॥ ॥
They are busily occupied in their affairs;
ਉਨ ਤੇ ਦੁਗੁਣ ਦਿੜੀ ਉਨ ਮਾਏ ॥੧॥ ॥
they cling twice as hard to Maya. ||1||
ਓਹ ਬੇਲਾ ਕਛੁ ਚੀਤਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥ ॥
No one thinks of the time of death;
ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਇ ਤਾਹੂ ਲਪਟਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥
people grasp to hold that which shall pass away. ||1||Pause||
ਆਸਾ ਬੰਧੀ ਮੂਰਖ ਦੇਹ ॥ ॥
The fools - their bodies are bound down by desires.
ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਲਪਟਿਓ ਅਸਨੇਹ ॥ ॥
They are mired in sexual desire, anger and attachment;
ਸਿਰ ਊਪਰਿ ਠਾਢੋ ਧਰਮ ਰਾਇ ॥ ॥
the Righteous Judge of Dharma stands over their heads.
ਮੀਠੀ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਖਾਇ ॥੨॥ ॥
Believing it to be sweet, the fools eat poison. ||2||
ਹਉ ਬੰਧਉ ਹਉ ਸਾਧਉ ਬੈਰੁ ॥ ਹਮਰੀ ਭੂਮਿ ਕਉਣੁ ਘਾਲੈ ਪੈਰੁ ॥ ॥
They say, ""I shall tie up my enemy, and I shall cut him down. Who dares to set foot upon my land?
ਹਉ ਪੰਡਿਤੁ ਹਉ ਚਤੁਰੁ ਸਿਆਣਾ ॥ ॥
I am learned, I am clever and wise.""
ਕਰਣੈਹਾਰੁ ਨ ਬੁਝੈ ਬਿਗਾਨਾ ॥੩॥ ॥
The ignorant ones do not recognize their Creator. ||3||
ਅਪੁਨੀ ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਆਪੇ ਜਾਨੈ ॥ ॥
The Lord Himself knows His Own state and condition.
ਕਿਆ ਕੋ ਕਹੈ ਕਿਆ ਆਖਿ ਵਖਾਨੈ ॥ ॥
What can anyone say? How can anyone describe Him?
ਜਿਤੁ ਜਿਤੁ ਲਾਵਹਿ ਤਿਤੁ ਤਿਤੁ ਲਗਨਾ ॥ ॥
Whatever He attaches us to - to that we are attached.
ਅਪਨਾ ਭਲਾ ਸਭ ਕਾਹੂ ਮੰਗਨਾ ॥੪॥ ॥
Everyone begs for their own good. ||4||
ਸਭ ਕਿਛੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਣੈਹਾਰੁ ॥ ॥
Everything is Yours; You are the Creator Lord.
ਅੰਤੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰੁ ॥ ॥
You have no end or limitation.
ਦਾਸ ਅਪਨੇ ਕਉ ਦੀਜੈ ਦਾਨੁ ॥ ॥
Please give this gift to Your servant,
ਕਬਹੂ ਨ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ॥੫॥੯॥੭੮॥ ॥
that Nanak might never forget the Naam. ||5||9||78||
ਗਉੜੀ ਗੁਆਰੇਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ॥
Gauree Gwaarayree, Fifth Mehla:
ਅਨਿਕ ਜਤਨ ਨਹੀ ਹੋਤ ਛੁਟਾਰਾ ॥ ॥
By all sorts of efforts, people do not find salvation.
ਬਹੁਤੁ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਆਗਲ ਭਾਰਾ ॥ ॥
Through clever tricks, the weight is only piled on more and more.
ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੇਤ ॥ ॥
Serving the Lord with a pure heart,
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਸੋਭਾ ਸੇਤ ॥੧॥ ॥
you shall be received with honor at God's Court. ||1||
