ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਦੇਹਿ ਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥ ॥

Dios mismo concede la sabiduría para meditar en el Nombre Divino. Con gran fortuna, se encuentra al Guru verdadero y el néctar se recibe en la boca. El egoísmo y la dualidad se desvanecen, y uno se absorbe en la paz serena. Todo lo impregna Él mismo, y Él mismo nos conecta con Su Nombre. ||2||

ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪਾਈਐ ॥ ॥

Los egocéntricos no obtienen orgullo, ignorantes e ingenuos. No sirven al Guru verdadero y se arrepienten una y otra vez. Obtienen residencia en el útero, y en el útero se estrangulan. Mi Creador así lo desea, los egocéntricos vagan en la ilusión. ||3||

ਹਉਮੈ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਇ ਸਹਜੇ ਸੁਖਿ ਸਮਾਈਐ ॥ ॥

Mi Dios Señor ha escrito el destino en mi frente desde el principio. He meditado en el Nombre Divino y he encontrado al Guru guerrero. Mi padre y mi madre son el Nombre Divino, el Nombre Divino es mi hermano y pariente. Dios, por favor, concédeme la unión, el siervo Nanak es un gusano. ||4||3||17||37||

ਸਭੁ ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਆਪੇ ਨਾਇ ਲਾਈਐ ॥੨॥ ॥

Gauri Bairagan, Tercer Guru.

ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਗਰਬਿ ਨ ਪਾਇਓ ਅਗਿਆਨ ਇਆਣੇ ॥ ॥

Del Guru verdadero se obtiene sabiduría, y se contempla la esencia divina. La mente impura se purifica, meditando en el Nombre del Destructor de la Ilusión. Se elimina el poder del mal y la oscuridad desaparece. Aquellos en cuya frente está escrito desde el principio, para ellos el Nombre Divino es amado. ||1||

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਾ ਕਰਹਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਪਛੁਤਾਣੇ ॥ ॥

¿Cómo se puede encontrar a Dios? Al ver a los santos, vivo. Sin Dios, no puedo vivir; Oh Guru, úneme a Dios para que pueda beber el néctar divino. ||1||Pausa||

ਗਰਭ ਜੋਨੀ ਵਾਸੁ ਪਾਇਦੇ ਗਰਭੇ ਗਲਿ ਜਾਣੇ ॥ ॥

Canto las alabanzas de Dios constantemente, escucho a Dios, y Dios me ha concedido la liberación. He recibido el néctar divino del Guru, mi mente y cuerpo están absortos en Él. Bendito, bendito es el Guru, el verdadero ser humano, quien me ha dado la devoción a Dios. Al Guru a través del cual encontré a Dios, a ese Guru lo he hecho mío. ||2||

ਮੇਰੇ ਕਰਤੇ ਏਵੈ ਭਾਵਦਾ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਭਰਮਾਣੇ ॥੩॥ ॥

El Dador de Virtudes.

ਮੇਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਲੇਖੁ ਲਿਖਾਇਆ ਧੁਰਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਪੂਰਾ ॥ ॥

My Lord God inscribed the full pre-ordained destiny upon the forehead.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਗੁਰੁ ਸੂਰਾ ॥ ॥

When one meets the Great and Courageous Guru, one meditates on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.

ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਮਾਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਬੰਧਪੁ ਬੀਰਾ ॥ ॥

The Lord's Name is my mother and father; the Lord is my relative and brother.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਕੀਰਾ ॥੪॥੩॥੧੭॥੩੭॥ ॥

O Lord, Har, Har, please forgive me and unite me with Yourself. Servant Nanak is a lowly worm. ||4||3||17||37||

ਗਉੜੀ ਬੈਰਾਗਣਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ ॥

Gauree Bairaagan, Third Mehla:

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਾ ॥ ॥

From the True Guru, I obtained spiritual wisdom; I contemplate the Lord's essence.

ਮਤਿ ਮਲੀਣ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਭਈ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੁਰਾਰਾ ॥ ॥

My polluted intellect was enlightened by chanting the Naam, the Name of the Lord.

ਸਿਵਿ ਸਕਤਿ ਮਿਟਾਈਆ ਚੂਕਾ ਅੰਧਿਆਰਾ ॥ ॥

The distinction between Shiva and Shakti - mind and matter - has been destroyed, and the darkness has been dispelled.

ਧੁਰਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ॥੧॥ ॥

The Lord's Name is loved by those, upon whose foreheads such pre-ordained destiny was written. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਕਿਤੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਹੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਹਉ ਜੀਵਾ ॥ ॥

How can the Lord be obtained, O Saints? Seeing Him, my life is sustained.

ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਚਸਾ ਨ ਜੀਵਤੀ ਗੁਰ ਮੇਲਿਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਵਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥

Without the Lord, I cannot live, even for an instant. Unite me with the Guru, so that I may drink in the sublime essence of the Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਹਉ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ਨਿਤ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਣੀ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗਤਿ ਕੀਨੀ ॥ ॥

I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and I listen to them daily; the Lord, Har, Har, has emancipated me.

ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਪਾਇਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਲੀਨੀ ॥ ॥

I have obtained the Lord's essence from the Guru; my mind and body are drenched with it.

ਧਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਤ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਦੀਨੀ ॥ ॥

Blessed, blessed is the Guru, the True Being, who has blessed me with devotional worship of the Lord.

ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੋ ਗੁਰੁ ਹਮ ਕੀਨੀ ॥੨॥ ॥

From the Guru, I have obtained the Lord; I have made Him my Guru. ||2||

ਗੁਣਦਾਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ਹੈ ਹਮ ਅਵਗਣਿਆਰੇ ॥ ॥

The Sovereign Lord is the Giver of virtue. I am worthless and without virtue.

ਪਾਪੀ ਪਾਥਰ ਡੂਬਦੇ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਤਾਰੇ ॥ ॥

The sinners sink like stones; through the Guru's Teachings, the Lord carries us across.

ਤੂੰ ਗੁਣਦਾਤਾ ਨਿਰਮਲਾ ਹਮ ਅਵਗਣਿਆਰੇ ॥ ॥

You are the Giver of virtue, O Immaculate Lord; I am worthless and without virtue.

ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣਾਗਤਿ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਮੂੜ ਮੁਗਧ ਨਿਸਤਾਰੇ ॥੩॥ ॥

I have entered Your Sanctuary, Lord; please save me, as You have saved the idiots and fools. ||3||

ਸਹਜੁ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਸਦਾ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥ ॥

Eternal celestial bliss comes through the Guru's Teachings, by meditating continually on the Lord, Har, Har.

ਸਜਣੁ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਘਰਿ ਸੋਹਿਲਾ ਗਾਇਆ ॥ ॥

I have obtained the Lord God as my Best Friend, within the home of my own self. I sing the Songs of Joy.

ਹਰਿ ਦਇਆ ਧਾਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਚੇਤਾਇਆ ॥ ॥

Please shower me with Your Mercy, O Lord God, that I may meditate on Your Name, Har, Har.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਮੰਗੈ ਧੂੜਿ ਤਿਨ ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੪॥੧੮॥੩੮॥ ॥

Servant Nanak begs for the dust of the feet of those who have found the True Guru. ||4||4||18||38||

ਗਉੜੀ ਗੁਆਰੇਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ਚਉਥਾ ਚਉਪਦੇ ॥

Gauree Gwaarayree, Fourth Mehla, Chau-Padhay:

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਪੰਡਿਤੁ ਸਾਸਤ ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਪੜਿਆ ॥ ॥

The Pandit - the religious scholar - recites the Shaastras and the Simritees;

ਜੋਗੀ ਗੋਰਖੁ ਗੋਰਖੁ ਕਰਿਆ ॥ ॥

the Yogi cries out, ""Gorakh, Gorakh"".

ਮੈ ਮੂਰਖ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪੁ ਪੜਿਆ ॥੧॥ ॥

But I am just a fool - I just chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||

ਨਾ ਜਾਨਾ ਕਿਆ ਗਤਿ ਰਾਮ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥ ॥

I do not know what my condition shall be, Lord.

ਹਰਿ ਭਜੁ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਤਰੁ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਤੂ ਤਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥

O my mind, vibrate and meditate on the Name of the Lord. You shall cross over the terrifying world-ocean. ||1||Pause||
