[Nanak, absorto en el Nombre, es completamente libre y liberado.

ਗਉੜੀ ਗੁਆਰੇਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ ॥

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਵਡਭਾਗਿ ਸੰਜੋਗ ॥ ॥

Encuentra al verdadero Gurú por gran fortuna y buena suerte.

ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਤ ਹਰਿ ਰਸ ਭੋਗ ॥੧॥ ॥

En el corazón, el Nombre, el constante gozo del Señor.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇ ॥ ॥

//1// El alma Gurú-orientada medita en el Nombre del Señor.

ਜਨਮੁ ਜੀਤਿ ਲਾਹਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥

Gana la vida y obtiene el beneficio del Nombre.

ਗਿਆਨੁ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੁ ਹੈ ਮੀਠਾ ॥ ॥

ਗੁਰ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਕਿਨੈ ਵਿਰਲੈ ਚਖਿ ਡੀਠਾ ॥੨॥ ॥

Por la gracia del Gurú, sólo unos pocos lo han probado y visto.

ਕਰਮ ਕਾਂਡ ਬਹੁ ਕਰਹਿ ਅਚਾਰ ॥ ॥

//2// Realizan muchos rituales y acciones.

ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ॥੩॥ ॥

Sin el Nombre, ¡qué vergüenza, qué ego!

ਬੰਧਨਿ ਬਾਧਿਓ ਮਾਇਆ ਫਾਸ ॥ ॥

//3// Atado por los lazos de la Maya, la ilusión.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਛੂਟੈ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਗਾਸ ॥੪॥੧੪॥੩੪॥ ॥

El siervo Nanak se libera por la luz del Gurú.

ਜੈਸੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਊਪਰਿਮੇਘੁਲਾ ਬਰਸਤੁ ਹੈ ਕਿਆ ਧਰਤੀ ਮਧੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ ॥

Como la lluvia cae sobre la tierra, pero la tierra no contiene agua.

ਜੈਸੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਮਧੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਪਰਗਾਸਿਆ ਬਿਨੁ ਪਗਾ ਵਰਸਤ ਫਿਰਾਹੀ ॥੧॥ ॥

Como el agua brota de la tierra, así la lluvia cae sin cesar.

ਬਾਬਾ ਤੂੰ ਐਸੇ ਭਰਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਹੀ ॥ ॥

//1// Oh, Señor, tú has disipado esta ilusión.

ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰਤੁ ਹੈ ਸੋਈ ਕੋਈ ਹੈ ਰੇ ਤੈਸੇ ਜਾਇ ਸਮਾਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥

Todo lo que hace es Él mismo, y en Él se disuelve.

ਇਸਤਰੀ ਪੁਰਖ ਹੋਇ ਕੈ ਕਿਆ ਓਇ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਹੀ ॥ ॥

//1// Pausa// Ya sean hombres o mujeres, ¿qué acciones realizan?

ਨਾਨਾ ਰੂਪ ਸਦਾ ਹਹਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੁਝ ਹੀ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਹੀ ॥੨॥ ॥

En innumerables formas, siempre eres Tú, y en Ti se absorben.

ਇਤਨੇ ਜਨਮ ਭੂਲਿ ਪਰੇ ਸੇ ਜਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਤਾ ਭੂਲੇ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ ॥

//2// Muchos nacimientos se pierden en la confusión; aquellos que encuentran el Nombre no se pierden.

ਜਾ ਕਾ ਕਾਰਜੁ ਸੋਈ ਪਰੁ ਜਾਣੈ ਜੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਮਾਹੀ ॥੩॥ ॥

Quien realiza la obra, lo sabe, si se une a la Palabra del Gurú.

ਤੇਰਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਤੂੰਹੈ ਹਹਿ ਆਪੇ ਭਰਮੁ ਕਹਾਹੀ ॥ ॥

//3// Tu Palabra eres Tú mismo; ¿dónde está la ilusión?

ਨਾਨਕ ਤਤੁ ਤਤ ਸਿਉ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਪੁਨਰਪਿ ਜਨਮਿ ਨ ਆਹੀ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੫॥੩੫॥ ॥

Nanak se ha unido a la Esencia, y no volverá a nacer.

ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਕਾਲੈ ਵਸਿ ਹੈ ਬਾਧਾ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ॥ ॥

Todo el mundo está sujeto al tiempo, atado al apego dual.

ਹਉਮੈ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਵਦੇ ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਸਜਾਇ ॥੧॥ ॥

Con el ego, realizan acciones, y los auto-centrados reciben su recompensa.

ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇ ॥ ॥

O my mind, focus your consciousness on the Guru's Feet.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਲੈ ਦਰਗਹ ਲਏ ਛਡਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥

As Gurmukh, you shall be awarded the treasure of the Naam. In the Court of the Lord, you shall be saved. ||1||Pause||

ਲਖ ਚਉਰਾਸੀਹ ਭਰਮਦੇ ਮਨਹਠਿ ਆਵੈ ਜਾਇ ॥ ॥

Through 8.4 million incarnations, people wander lost; in stubborn-mindedness, they come and go.

ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਨ ਚੀਨਿਓ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਜੋਨੀ ਪਾਇ ॥੨॥ ॥

They do not realize the Word of the Guru's Shabad; they are reincarnated over and over again. ||2||

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਆਪੁ ਪਛਾਣਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸਿਆ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥ ॥

The Gurmukh understands his own self. The Lord's Name comes to dwell within the mind.

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਭਗਤੀ ਰਤਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੇ ਸੁਖਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੩॥ ॥

Imbued with devotion to the Lord's Name, night and day, he merges in peace. ||3||

ਮਨੁ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਰੈ ਪਰਤੀਤਿ ਹੋਇ ਹਉਮੈ ਤਜੇ ਵਿਕਾਰ ॥ ॥

When one's mind dies in the Shabad, one radiates faith and confidence, shedding egotism and corruption.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਰਮੀ ਪਾਈਅਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਭਗਤਿ ਭੰਡਾਰ ॥੪॥੨॥੧੬॥੩੬॥ ॥

O servant Nanak, through the karma of good actions, the treasure of devotional worship and the Name of the Lord are attained. ||4||2||16||36||

ਗਉੜੀ ਬੈਰਾਗਣਿ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ ॥

Gauree Bairaagan, Third Mehla:

ਪੇਈਅੜੈ ਦਿਨ ਚਾਰਿ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਲਿਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ ॥

The Lord, Har, Har, has ordained that the soul is to stay in her parents' home for only a few short days.

ਸੋਭਾਵੰਤੀ ਨਾਰਿ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ॥ ॥

Glorious is that soul-bride, who as Gurmukh, sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord.

ਪੇਵਕੜੈ ਗੁਣ ਸੰਮਲੈ ਸਾਹੁਰੈ ਵਾਸੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ ॥

She who cultivates virtue in her parents' home, shall obtain a home at her in-laws.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਣੀਆ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ॥

The Gurmukhs are intuitively absorbed into the Lord. The Lord is pleasing to their minds. ||1||

ਸਸੁਰੈ ਪੇਈਐ ਪਿਰੁ ਵਸੈ ਕਹੁ ਕਿਤੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਪਾਈਐ ॥ ॥

Our Husband Lord dwells in this world, and in the world beyond. Tell me, how can He be found?

ਆਪਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਅਲਖੁ ਹੈ ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲਾਈਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥

The Immaculate Lord Himself is unseen. He unites us with Himself. ||1||Pause||
