ਕਬੀਰ ਚੁਗੈ ਚਿਤਾਰੈ ਭੀ ਚੁਗੈ ਚੁਗਿ ਚੁਗਿ ਚਿਤਾਰੇ ॥ ਜੈਸੇ ਬਚਰਹਿ ਕੂੰਜ ਮਨ ਮਾਇਆ ਮਮਤਾ ਰੇ ॥੧੨੩॥ ॥

Kabir recoge y contempla, recogiendo continuamente y contemplando. Como los pájaros, el apego a la mente, la ilusión y el egoísmo. ||123||

ਕਬੀਰ ਅੰਬਰ ਘਨਹਰੁ ਛਾਇਆ ਬਰਖਿ ਭਰੇ ਸਰ ਤਾਲ ॥ ॥

Kabir, las nubes oscuras cubren el cielo, llenando los lagos con lluvia. Como el pájaro chaatrik, sediento, permanece; ¿quién puede ayudarlo? ||124||

ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਜਿਉ ਤਰਸਤ ਰਹੈ ਤਿਨ ਕੋ ਕਉਨੁ ਹਵਾਲੁ ॥੧੨੪॥ ॥

Kabir, como la chakwaa, separada por la noche, se reúne al amanecer. Aquellos que están separados de Dios, no se unen ni de día ni de noche. ||125||

ਕਬੀਰ ਚਕਈ ਜਉ ਨਿਸਿ ਬੀਛੁਰੈ ਆਇ ਮਿਲੈ ਪਰਭਾਤਿ ॥ ॥

Kabir, oh, separados, permaneced en la contemplación de Dios. Los templos resuenan con el clamor, el sol sale. ||126||

ਜੋ ਨਰ ਬਿਛੁਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਸਿਉ ਨਾ ਦਿਨ ਮਿਲੇ ਨ ਰਾਤਿ ॥੧੨੫॥ ॥

Kabir, ¿qué hacen los que duermen? Despertad, llorad por el miedo y el dolor. Aquel cuya morada está en la tumba, ¿cómo puede dormir en paz? ||127||

ਕਬੀਰ ਰੈਨਾਇਰ ਬਿਛੋਰਿਆ ਰਹੁ ਰੇ ਸੰਖ ਮਝੂਰਿ ॥ ॥

Kabir, ¿qué hacen los que duermen? Levantaos y meditad en el Señor. Un día dormiréis, extendiendo vuestros miembros. ||128||

ਦੇਵਲ ਦੇਵਲ ਧਾਹੜੀ ਦੇਸਹਿ ਉਗਵਤ ਸੂਰ ॥੧੨੬॥ ॥

Kabir, ¿qué hacen los que duermen? Sentaos y permaneced despiertos. Uníos a aquellos con quienes no os separaréis. ||129||

ਕਬੀਰ ਸੂਤਾ ਕਿਆ ਕਰਹਿ ਜਾਗੁ ਰੋਇ ਭੈ ਦੁਖ ॥ ॥

Kabir, no abandonéis la compañía de los santos, seguid su camino. Con sólo verlos, uno se purifica; al encontrarlos, meditad en el Nombre. ||130||

ਜਾ ਕਾ ਬਾਸਾ ਗੋਰ ਮਹਿ ਸੋ ਕਿਉ ਸੋਵੈ ਸੁਖ ॥੧੨੭॥ ॥

Kabir, no os asociéis con los mundanos, alejaos de ellos. Si os contamináis con su compañía, os mancharéis. ||131||

ਕਬੀਰ ਸੂਤਾ ਕਿਆ ਕਰਹਿ ਉਠਿ ਕਿ ਨ ਜਪਹਿ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ॥ ॥

Kabir, no recordé a Dios, y la vejez me ha alcanzado. Estoy aferrado a la puerta del templo; ¿cómo puedo escapar ahora? ||132||

ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਸੋਵਨੁ ਹੋਇਗੋ ਲਾਂਬੇ ਗੋਡ ਪਸਾਰਿ ॥੧੨੮॥ ॥

Kabir, esto sucedió por la voluntad del Creador. Sin Él, no hay otro; Él es el único Creador. ||133||

ਕਬੀਰ ਸੂਤਾ ਕਿਆ ਕਰਹਿ ਬੈਠਾ ਰਹੁ ਅਰੁ ਜਾਗੁ ॥ ॥

Kabir, esto sucedió por la voluntad del Creador. Sin Él, no hay otro; Él es el único Creador. ||133||

ਜਾ ਕੇ ਸੰਗ ਤੇ ਬੀਛੁਰਾ ਤਾ ਹੀ ਕੇ ਸੰਗਿ ਲਾਗੁ ॥੧੨੯॥ ॥

Attach yourself to the One, from whom you have been separated. ||129||

ਕਬੀਰ ਸੰਤ ਕੀ ਗੈਲ ਨ ਛੋਡੀਐ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਲਾਗਾ ਜਾਉ ॥ ॥

Kabeer, do not leave the Society of the Saints; walk upon this Path.

ਪੇਖਤ ਹੀ ਪੁੰਨੀਤ ਹੋਇ ਭੇਟਤ ਜਪੀਐ ਨਾਉ ॥੧੩੦॥ ॥

See them, and be sanctified; meet them, and chant the Name. ||130||

ਕਬੀਰ ਸਾਕਤ ਸੰਗੁ ਨ ਕੀਜੀਐ ਦੂਰਹਿ ਜਾਈਐ ਭਾਗਿ ॥ ॥

Kabeer, do not associate with the faithless cynics; run far away from them.

ਬਾਸਨੁ ਕਾਰੋ ਪਰਸੀਐ ਤਉ ਕਛੁ ਲਾਗੈ ਦਾਗੁ ॥੧੩੧॥ ॥

If you touch a vessel stained with soot, some of the soot will stick to you. ||131||

ਕਬੀਰਾ ਰਾਮੁ ਨ ਚੇਤਿਓ ਜਰਾ ਪਹੂੰਚਿਓ ਆਇ ॥ ॥

Kabeer, you have not contemplated the Lord, and now old age has overtaken you.

ਲਾਗੀ ਮੰਦਿਰ ਦੁਆਰ ਤੇ ਅਬ ਕਿਆ ਕਾਢਿਆ ਜਾਇ ॥੧੩੨॥ ॥

Now that the door of your mansion is on fire, what can you take out? ||132||

ਕਬੀਰ ਕਾਰਨੁ ਸੋ ਭਇਓ ਜੋ ਕੀਨੋ ਕਰਤਾਰਿ ॥ ॥

Kabeer, the Creator does whatever He pleases.

ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੂਸਰੁ ਕੋ ਨਹੀ ਏਕੈ ਸਿਰਜਨਹਾਰੁ ॥੧੩੩॥ ॥

There is none other than Him; He alone is the Creator of all. ||133||

ਕਬੀਰ ਫਲ ਲਾਗੇ ਫਲਨਿ ਪਾਕਨਿ ਲਾਗੇ ਆਂਬ ॥ ॥

Kabeer, the fruit trees are bearing fruit, and the mangoes are becoming ripe.

ਜਾਇ ਪਹੂਚਹਿ ਖਸਮ ਕਉ ਜਉ ਬੀਚਿ ਨ ਖਾਹੀ ਕਾਂਬ ॥੧੩੪॥ ॥

They will reach the owner, only if the crows do not eat them first. ||134||

ਕਬੀਰ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਪੂਜਹਿ ਮੋਲਿ ਲੇ ਮਨਹਠਿ ਤੀਰਥ ਜਾਹਿ ॥ ॥

Kabeer, some buy idols and worship them; in their stubborn-mindedness, they make pilgrimages to sacred shrines.

ਦੇਖਾ ਦੇਖੀ ਸ੍ਵਾਂਗੁ ਧਰਿ ਭੂਲੇ ਭਟਕਾ ਖਾਹਿ ॥੧੩੫॥ ॥

They look at one another, and wear religious robes, but they are deluded and lost. ||135||

ਕਬੀਰ ਪਾਹਨੁ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰੁ ਕੀਆ ਪੂਜੈ ਸਭੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥ ॥

Kabeer, someone sets up a stone idol and all the world worships it as the Lord.

ਇਸ ਭਰਵਾਸੇ ਜੋ ਰਹੇ ਬੂਡੇ ਕਾਲੀ ਧਾਰ ॥੧੩੬॥ ॥

Those who hold to this belief will be drowned in the river of darkness. ||136||

ਕਬੀਰ ਕਾਗਦ ਕੀ ਓਬਰੀ ਮਸੁ ਕੇ ਕਰਮ ਕਪਾਟ ॥ ॥

Kabeer, the paper is the prison, and the ink of rituals are the bars on the windows.

ਪਾਹਨ ਬੋਰੀ ਪਿਰਥਮੀ ਪੰਡਿਤ ਪਾੜੀ ਬਾਟ ॥੧੩੭॥ ॥

The stone idols have drowned the world, and the Pandits, the religious scholars, have plundered it on the way. ||137||

ਕਬੀਰ ਕਾਲਿ ਕਰੰਤਾ ਅਬਹਿ ਕਰੁ ਅਬ ਕਰਤਾ ਸੁਇ ਤਾਲ ॥ ॥

Kabeer, that which you have to do tomorrow - do it today instead; and that which you have to do now - do it immediately!

ਪਾਛੈ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਹੋਇਗਾ ਜਉ ਸਿਰ ਪਰਿ ਆਵੈ ਕਾਲੁ ॥੧੩੮॥ ॥

Later on, you will not be able to do anything, when death hangs over your head. ||138||

ਕਬੀਰ ਐਸਾ ਜੰਤੁ ਇਕੁ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਜੈਸੀ ਧੋਈ ਲਾਖ ॥ ॥

Kabeer, I have seen a person, who is as shiny as washed wax.

ਦੀਸੈ ਚੰਚਲੁ ਬਹੁ ਗੁਨਾ ਮਤਿ ਹੀਨਾ ਨਾਪਾਕ ॥੧੩੯॥ ॥

He seems very clever and very virtuous, but in reality, he is without understanding, and corrupt. ||139||

ਕਬੀਰ ਮੇਰੀ ਬੁਧਿ ਕਉ ਜਮੁ ਨ ਕਰੈ ਤਿਸਕਾਰ ॥ ॥

Kabeer, the Messenger of Death shall not compromise my understanding.

ਜਿਨਿ ਇਹੁ ਜਮੂਆ ਸਿਰਜਿਆ ਸੁ ਜਪਿਆ ਪਰਵਿਦਗਾਰ ॥੧੪੦॥ ॥

I have meditated on the Lord, the Cherisher, who created this Messenger of Death. ||140||

ਕਬੀਰੁ ਕਸਤੂਰੀ ਭਇਆ ਭਵਰ ਭਏ ਸਭ ਦਾਸ ॥ ॥

Kabeer, the Lord is like musk; all His slaves are like bumble bees.
