ਰਾਗੁ ਮਲਾਰ ਚਉਪਦੇ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ਘਰੁ ੧ ॥
Uno, el nombre verdadero, el Creador, el Ser sin miedo, sin enemistad, la Forma intemporal, el Inmaculado, por la gracia del Gurú.
ੴ ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ॥
Comer, beber, reír, escuchar, todo se ha olvidado; solo queda la muerte.
ਖਾਣਾ ਪੀਣਾ ਹਸਣਾ ਸਉਣਾ ਵਿਸਰਿ ਗਇਆ ਹੈ ਮਰਣਾ ॥ ॥
Olvidando al Amado, he sufrido; ¡maldita sea esta vida, no quiero seguir viviendo!
ਖਸਮੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਖੁਆਰੀ ਕੀਨੀ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਜੀਵਣੁ ਨਹੀ ਰਹਣਾ ॥੧॥ ॥
Oh, seres, medita en el único Nombre.
ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਏਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵਹੁ ॥ ॥
Vuelve a tu hogar con tu propia dignidad.
ਅਪਨੀ ਪਤਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਘਰਿ ਜਾਵਹੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥
Si te sirvo, ¿qué te daré? Pido y recibo, pero no permanezco.
ਤੁਧਨੋ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਤੁਝੁ ਕਿਆ ਦੇਵਹਿ ਮਾਂਗਹਿ ਲੇਵਹਿ ਰਹਹਿ ਨਹੀ ॥ ॥
Tú eres el dador de vida a todos los seres; Tú eres la vida dentro de la vida.
ਤੂ ਦਾਤਾ ਜੀਆ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਜੀਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਤੁਹੀ ॥੨॥ ॥
Los que meditan con el Gurú, obtienen el néctar; ellos se purifican.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਧਿਆਵਹਿ ਸਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਸੇਈ ਸੂਚੇ ਹੋਹੀ ॥ ॥
Recita el Nombre día y noche, oh, seres, y vuestras impurezas se desvanecerán.
ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਹੁ ਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਮੈਲੇ ਹਛੇ ਹੋਹੀ ॥੩॥ ॥
Como la estación del cuerpo, así es la felicidad; como el cuerpo, así es la estación.
ਜੇਹੀ ਰੁਤਿ ਕਾਇਆ ਸੁਖੁ ਤੇਹਾ ਤੇਹੋ ਜੇਹੀ ਦੇਹੀ ॥ ॥
Oh Nanak, la estación es hermosa con el Señor; sin Su Nombre, ¿qué clase de estación es?
ਨਾਨਕ ਰੁਤਿ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਸਾਈ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਰੁਤਿ ਕੇਹੀ ॥੪॥੧॥ ॥
Hago súplica a mi Gurú, mi Amado, para que el Señor me una a Él.
ਮਲਾਰ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ॥ ॥
Escuchando el abundante y profundo sonido, mi mente se refresca, y mi corazón canta Sus virtudes.
ਕਰਉ ਬਿਨਉ ਗੁਰ ਅਪਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਹਰਿ ਵਰੁ ਆਣਿ ਮਿਲਾਵੈ ॥ ॥
Mi mente está empapada por la abundante lluvia.
ਸੁਣਿ ਘਨ ਘੋਰ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਮਨੁ ਮੋਰਾ ਲਾਲ ਰਤੀ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ॥
La gota de néctar es dulce; el Gurú ha cautivado mi mente, y mi corazón está absorto en el néctar del Señor.
ਬਰਸੁ ਘਨਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਭੀਨਾ ॥ ॥
Feliz en la paz, la amada esposa, cuyo corazón ha aceptado las palabras del Gurú.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬੂੰਦ ਸੁਹਾਨੀ ਹੀਅਰੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਮੋਹੀ ਮਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਸਿ ਲੀਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥
El Señor se ha convertido en su esposo, y ella es una esposa virtuosa; el amor y la felicidad llenan su mente y cuerpo.
ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਖੀ ਵਰ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨੀ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥ ॥
Abandonando los defectos, se ha vuelto ascética; el Señor es su esposo inmutable.
ਹਰਿ ਵਰਿ ਨਾਰਿ ਭਈ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੁ ਸੁਖਾਨਿਆ ॥੨॥ ॥
La tristeza y la separación nunca la alcanzarán; el Señor ha mostrado Su gracia.
ਅਵਗਣ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਭਈ ਬੈਰਾਗਨਿ ਅਸਥਿਰੁ ਵਰੁ ਸੋਹਾਗੁ ਹਰੀ ॥ ॥
Discarding her demerits, she becomes detached; with the Lord as her Husband, her marriage is eternal.
ਸੋਗੁ ਵਿਜੋਗੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਵਿਆਪੈ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੀ ॥੩॥ ॥
She never suffers separation or sorrow; her Lord God showers her with His Grace. ||3||
ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣੁ ਨਹੀ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਓਟ ਗਹੀ ॥ ॥
Her mind is steady and stable; she does not come and go in reincarnation.
ਨਾਨਕ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਧਨੁ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ਸਚੁ ਸਹੀ ॥੪॥੨॥ ॥
She takes the Shelter of the Perfect Guru. O Nanak, as Gurmukh, chant the Naam; you shall be accepted as the true soul-bride of the Lord. ||4||2||
ਮਲਾਰ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ॥ ॥
Malaar, First Mehla:
ਸਾਚੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਨਹੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤੇ ਹਉਮੈ ਕਰਤ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥ ॥
They pretend to understand the Truth, but they are not satisfied by the Naam; they waste their lives in egotism.
