ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਣਿ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਵਣਿਆ ॥ ॥
[Renuncio, renuncio, escuchando el Nombre, lo instalo en mi mente.
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਸਚਾ ਊਚੋ ਊਚਾ ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥
El Señor es verdadero, el Altísimo, el más elevado; destruye mi ego y me une a Él.
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਚੀ ਨਾਈ ॥ ॥
||1|| Refrán || El Señor es verdadero, la Verdadera Esposa.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਕਿਸੈ ਮਿਲਾਈ ॥ ॥
Por la gracia del Gurú, me he unido a Él.
ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਿਲਹਿ ਸੇ ਵਿਛੁੜਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਸਹਜੇ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੨॥ ॥
Por la Palabra del Gurú, me uno a Él; nunca me separo; en la paz, me absorbo en la Verdad.
ਤੁਝ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥ ॥
||2|| Fuera de Ti, nada existe.
ਤੂੰ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖਹਿ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਸੋਇ ॥ ॥
Tú haces, Tú ves, Tú conoces todo.
ਆਪੇ ਕਰੇ ਕਰਾਏ ਕਰਤਾ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੩॥ ॥
El Hacedor hace y hace hacer; por la sabiduría del Gurú, me uno a Él.
ਕਾਮਣਿ ਗੁਣਵੰਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਏ ॥ ॥
||3|| La mujer virtuosa encuentra al Señor.
ਭੈ ਭਾਇ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਬਣਾਏ ॥ ॥
Con temor y amor, se adorna.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ਸਚ ਉਪਦੇਸਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥ ॥
Sirviendo al Gurú verdadero, siempre es afortunada; por la instrucción verdadera, se absorbe en Él.
ਸਬਦੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਨਿ ਤਿਨਾ ਠਉਰੁ ਨ ਠਾਉ ॥ ॥
||4|| Los que olvidan la Palabra, no tienen lugar ni morada.
ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਭੂਲੇ ਜਿਉ ਸੁੰਞੈ ਘਰਿ ਕਾਉ ॥ ॥
Errantes y perdidos, como un cuervo en una casa vacía.
ਹਲਤੁ ਪਲਤੁ ਤਿਨੀ ਦੋਵੈ ਗਵਾਏ ਦੁਖੇ ਦੁਖਿ ਵਿਹਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥ ॥
Desperdician su conducta y su comportamiento; sufren en el dolor y la aflicción.
ਲਿਖਦਿਆ ਲਿਖਦਿਆ ਕਾਗਦ ਮਸੁ ਖੋਈ ॥ ॥
||5|| Escribiendo y escribiendo, se gasta el papel y la tinta.
ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥ ॥
Nadie obtiene paz con el apego al mundo material.
ਕੂੜੁ ਲਿਖਹਿ ਤੈ ਕੂੜੁ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਜਲਿ ਜਾਵਹਿ ਕੂੜਿ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੬॥ ॥
Escriben falsedades, cometen falsedades, perecen en el agua, fijan su mente en la falsedad.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਚੋ ਸਚੁ ਲਿਖਹਿ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥ ॥
||6|| Los Gurú-siervos escriben la Verdad con verdad, reflexionando.
ਸੇ ਜਨ ਸਚੇ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਮੋਖ ਦੁਆਰੁ ॥ ॥
Esas almas encuentran la puerta de la liberación.
ਸਚੁ ਕਾਗਦੁ ਕਲਮ ਮਸਵਾਣੀ ਸਚੁ ਲਿਖਿ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ ॥
El papel, la pluma y la tinta son la Verdad; escribiendo la Verdad, se absorben en la Verdad.
ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬੈਠਾ ਵੇਖੈ ॥ ॥
||7|| Mi Señor reside en mi interior y observa.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਮਿਲੈ ਸੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਲੇਖੈ ॥ ॥
Por la gracia del Gurú, esa alma se une a Él.
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੨੨॥੨੩॥ ॥
Nanak: obtengo la gloria del Nombre; por el Gurú perfecto, lo consigo.
ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ ॥
||8||22||23|| Mājh, tercer Mehl || La luz del Ser Supremo se manifiesta por el Gurú.
ਆਤਮ ਰਾਮ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਹੋਵੈ ॥ ॥
La suciedad del ego se elimina por la Palabra del Gurú.
ਹਉਮੈ ਮੈਲੁ ਲਾਗੀ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਖੋਵੈ ॥ ॥
La mente se purifica; día y noche, está absorta en la devoción; haciendo devoción, encuentra al Señor.
ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਭਗਤੀ ਰਾਤਾ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ॥
One who is imbued with devotional worship to the Lord night and day becomes pure. Worshipping the Lord, He is obtained. ||1||
ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਆਪਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਨਿ ਅਵਰਾ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਾਵਣਿਆ ॥ ॥
I am a sacrifice, my soul is a sacrifice, to those who themselves worship the Lord, and inspire others to worship Him as well.
ਤਿਨਾ ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਕਉ ਸਦ ਨਮਸਕਾਰੁ ਕੀਜੈ ਜੋ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥
I humbly bow to those devotees who chant the Glorious Praises of the Lord, night and day. ||1||Pause||
ਆਪੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਕਾਰਣੁ ਕਰਾਏ ॥ ॥
The Creator Lord Himself is the Doer of deeds.
ਜਿਤੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਤੁ ਕਾਰੈ ਲਾਏ ॥ ॥
As He pleases, He applies us to our tasks.
ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਹੋਵੈ ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੨॥ ॥
Through perfect destiny, we serve the Guru; serving the Guru, peace is found. ||2||
ਮਰਿ ਮਰਿ ਜੀਵੈ ਤਾ ਕਿਛੁ ਪਾਏ ॥ ॥
Those who die, and remain dead while yet alive, obtain it.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ॥ ॥
By Guru's Grace, they enshrine the Lord within their minds.
ਸਦਾ ਮੁਕਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ਸਹਜੇ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੩॥ ॥
Enshrining the Lord within their minds, they are liberated forever. With intuitive ease, they merge into the Lord. ||3||
ਬਹੁ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਨ ਪਾਏ ॥ ॥
They perform all sorts of rituals, but they do not obtain liberation through them.
ਦੇਸੰਤਰੁ ਭਵੈ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਖੁਆਏ ॥ ॥
They wander around the countryside, and in love with duality, they are ruined.
ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਕਪਟੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਬਦੈ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥ ॥
The deceitful lose their lives in vain; without the Word of the Shabad, they obtain only misery. ||4||
ਧਾਵਤੁ ਰਾਖੈ ਠਾਕਿ ਰਹਾਏ ॥ ॥
Those who restrain their wandering mind, keeping it steady and stable,
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਪਰਮ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਏ ॥ ॥
obtain the supreme status, by Guru's Grace.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ ਮਿਲਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥ ॥
The True Guru Himself unites us in Union with the Lord. Meeting the Beloved, peace is obtained. ||5||
