ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਇਸੁ ਮਨਹਿ ਨਚਾਏ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਕਪਟੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥ ॥
La ilusión (maya) y el apego a ella hacen bailar a esta mente, dentro hay engaño y sufrimiento. ||4||
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਜਾ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਏ ॥ ॥
A través del Gurú, la devoción se realiza por sí misma.
ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ॥ ॥
El cuerpo y la mente se deleitan en la paz natural.
ਬਾਣੀ ਵਜੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਵਜਾਏ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਥਾਇ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥ ॥
La Palabra resuena, el sonido resuena, a través del Gurú, la devoción encuentra su lugar. ||5||
ਬਹੁ ਤਾਲ ਪੂਰੇ ਵਾਜੇ ਵਜਾਏ ॥ ॥
Muchos instrumentos musicales suenan,
ਨਾ ਕੋ ਸੁਣੇ ਨ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ॥ ॥
pero nadie los escucha ni los acepta.
ਮਾਇਆ ਕਾਰਣਿ ਪਿੜ ਬੰਧਿ ਨਾਚੈ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੬॥ ॥
Debido a la ilusión, el alma está atada y baila en la dualidad, experimentando sufrimiento. ||6||
ਜਿਸੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਲਗੈ ਸੋ ਮੁਕਤਾ ॥ ॥
Aquel en cuyo interior reside el amor, es liberado.
ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀ ਵਸਿ ਸਚ ਸੰਜਮਿ ਜੁਗਤਾ ॥ ॥
Los sentidos están controlados, unidos a la verdad y a la autodisciplina.
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਏ ਏਹਾ ਭਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ ॥
Mediante la Palabra del Gurú, siempre medita en Dios; esta es la devoción que agrada a Dios. ||7||
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਜੁਗ ਚਾਰੇ ਹੋਈ ॥ ॥
La devoción a través del Gurú ha existido a través de todas las edades.
ਹੋਰਤੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਨ ਪਾਏ ਕੋਈ ॥ ॥
Nadie más ha encontrado la devoción.
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਗੁਰ ਭਗਤੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੨੦॥੨੧॥ ॥
Nanak, a través del Gurú, se encuentra el Nombre, la devoción, al enfocar la mente en los pies del Gurú. ||8||20||21||
ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ ॥
Majh, Tercer Mehl:
ਸਚਾ ਸੇਵੀ ਸਚੁ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ॥ ॥
Sirve a la Verdad, alaba la Verdad.
ਸਚੈ ਨਾਇ ਦੁਖੁ ਕਬ ਹੀ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ ॥
Con el Nombre de la Verdad, nunca hay sufrimiento.
ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਸੇਵਨਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਨਿ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ॥
Sirviendo al Dador de la Felicidad, se encuentra la felicidad; acepta la sabiduría del Gurú. ||1||
ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਧਿ ਲਗਾਵਣਿਆ ॥ ॥
Yo sacrifico mi vida, una y otra vez, para encontrar la paz y la meditación.
ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਸੇ ਸਦਾ ਸੋਹਹਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਸੁਹਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥
Aquellos que sirven a Dios siempre son hermosos; su belleza y conciencia son encantadoras. ||1||Pause||
ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਗਤੁ ਕਹਾਏ ॥ ॥
Todos son llamados tus devotos,
ਸੇਈ ਭਗਤ ਤੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਏ ॥ ॥
pero sólo aquellos que te agradan en el corazón son tus verdaderos devotos.
ਸਚੁ ਬਾਣੀ ਤੁਧੈ ਸਾਲਾਹਨਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੨॥ ॥
Con la Palabra verdadera, te alaban, teñidos de amor, practicando la devoción. ||2||
ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਸਚੇ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਤੇਰਾ ॥ ॥
Todos son tuyos, oh Señor Verdadero,
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਾ ਚੂਕੈ ਫੇਰਾ ॥ ॥
a través del Gurú, el ciclo de reencarnaciones termina.
ਜਾ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਨਾਇ ਰਚਾਵਹਿ ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਨਾਉ ਜਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੩॥ ॥
Cuando te agrada, te unes a tu Nombre; Tú mismo haces que reciten tu Nombre. ||3||
ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਇਆ ॥ ॥
A través de la sabiduría del Gurú, Dios reside en el corazón.
ਹਰਖੁ ਸੋਗੁ ਸਭੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥ ॥
La alegría y el dolor, todo el apego, se desvanecen.
ਇਕਸੁ ਸਿਉ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੪॥ ॥
Con uno...
ਭਗਤ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਤੇਰੈ ਚਾਏ ॥ ॥
Your devotees are attuned to Your Love; they are always joyful.
ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸਿਆ ਮਨਿ ਆਏ ॥ ॥
The nine treasures of the Naam come to dwell within their minds.
ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਬਦੇ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੫॥ ॥
By perfect destiny, they find the True Guru, and through the Word of the Shabad, they are united in the Lord's Union. ||5||
ਤੂੰ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ॥ ॥
You are Merciful, and always the Giver of peace.
ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲਿਹਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਤਾ ॥ ॥
You Yourself unite us; You are known only to the Gurmukhs.
ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਦੇਵਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਡਾਈ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੬॥ ॥
You Yourself bestow the glorious greatness of the Naam; attuned to the Naam, we find peace. ||6||
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਸਾਚੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ॥ ॥
Forever and ever, O True Lord, I praise You.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਤਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੋ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ ॥
As Gurmukh, I know no other at all.
ਏਕਸੁ ਸਿਉ ਮਨੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਏ ਮਨਿ ਮੰਨਿਐ ਮਨਹਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ ॥
My mind remains immersed in the One Lord; my mind surrenders to Him, and in my mind I meet Him. ||7||
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੋ ਸਾਲਾਹੇ ॥ ॥
One who becomes Gurmukh, praises the Lord.
ਸਾਚੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹੇ ॥ ॥
Our True Lord and Master is Carefree.
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੮॥੨੧॥੨੨॥ ॥
O Nanak, the Naam, the Name of the Lord, abides deep within the mind; through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, we merge with the Lord. ||8||21||22||
ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ ॥
Maajh, Third Mehla:
ਤੇਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਸੋਹਹਿ ਸਾਚੈ ਦਰਬਾਰੇ ॥ ॥
Your devotees look beautiful in the True Court.
ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥ ॥
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, they are adorned with the Naam.
ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦਿ ਰਹਹਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਗੁਣ ਕਹਿ ਗੁਣੀ ਸਮਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੧॥ ॥
They are forever in bliss, day and night; chanting the Glorious Praises of the Lord, they merge with the Lord of Glory. ||1||
