ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ॥
Májh, Melá 5. ||
ਕੀਨੀ ਦਇਆ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਗੁਸਾਈ ॥ ॥
Gopaal, el Señor, ha tenido compasión.
ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਵਸੇ ਮਨ ਮਾਹੀ ॥ ॥
En mi mente moran los pies del Gurú.
ਅੰਗੀਕਾਰੁ ਕੀਆ ਤਿਨਿ ਕਰਤੈ ਦੁਖ ਕਾ ਡੇਰਾ ਢਾਹਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ॥
Él, el Hacedor, me ha aceptado; ha derribado la morada del sufrimiento. ||1||
ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਸਚਾ ਸੋਈ ॥ ॥
En mi mente y cuerpo reside la Verdadera Existencia.
ਬਿਖੜਾ ਥਾਨੁ ਨ ਦਿਸੈ ਕੋਈ ॥ ॥
Ningún lugar desolado es visible.
ਦੂਤ ਦੁਸਮਣ ਸਭਿ ਸਜਣ ਹੋਏ ਏਕੋ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਆਹਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ ॥
Los mensajeros y enemigos se han convertido en amigos; un solo Amo me ha poseído. ||2||
ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਆਪੇ ਆਪੈ ॥ ॥
Todo lo que Él hace, lo hace por sí mismo.
ਬੁਧਿ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਕਿਛੂ ਨ ਜਾਪੈ ॥ ॥
Ninguna inteligencia o sabiduría es aparente.
ਆਪਣਿਆ ਸੰਤਾ ਨੋ ਆਪਿ ਸਹਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਭਰਮ ਭੁਲਾਵਾ ਲਾਹਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ ॥
Él mismo ayuda a Sus santos; el Señor ha disipado mis dudas. ||3||
ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਜਨ ਕਾ ਆਧਾਰੋ ॥ ॥
Los pies de loto de los devotos son mi apoyo.
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਾਪਾਰੋ ॥ ॥
Mi ocupación, las veinticuatro horas del día, es el Nombre de Dios.
ਸਹਜ ਅਨੰਦ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਗੁਣ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਬ ਸਮਾਹਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੩੬॥੪੩॥ ॥
En la serenidad y el gozo, canto las glorias de Govind; el Señor Nanak está inmerso en la totalidad. ||4|| 36||43||
ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ॥

ਸੋ ਸਚੁ ਮੰਦਰੁ ਜਿਤੁ ਸਚੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥ ॥
Aquel es el verdadero templo donde se medita en la Verdad.
ਸੋ ਰਿਦਾ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ਜਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਈਐ ॥ ॥
Aquel es el corazón hermoso donde se cantan las glorias de Dios.
ਸਾ ਧਰਤਿ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਜਿਤੁ ਵਸਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਸਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੋ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ॥
Aquella es la tierra encantadora donde moran los devotos del Señor; me sacrifico por el verdadero Nombre. ||1||
ਸਚੁ ਵਡਾਈ ਕੀਮ ਨ ਪਾਈ ॥ ॥
La Verdad no tiene precio ni medida.
ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਕਰਮੁ ਨ ਕਹਣਾ ਜਾਈ ॥ ॥
El trabajo de la Naturaleza no se puede describir.
ਧਿਆਇ ਧਿਆਇ ਜੀਵਹਿ ਜਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਚੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਮਨਿ ਮਾਣੋ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ ॥
Meditando, meditan los devotos tuyos; el verdadero Verbo se regocija en mi mente. ||2||
ਸਚੁ ਸਾਲਾਹਣੁ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਪਾਈਐ ॥ ॥
La alabanza de la Verdad se obtiene con gran fortuna.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਈਐ ॥ ॥
Por la gracia del Gurú, se cantan las glorias de Dios.
ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤੇ ਤੇਰੈ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵਹਿ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਨੀਸਾਣੋ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ ॥
Absortos en Su amor, te agradan; el verdadero Nombre es mi insignia. ||3||
ਸਚੇ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ ਕੋਈ ॥ ॥
Nadie conoce el final de la Verdad.
ਥਾਨਿ ਥਨੰਤਰਿ ਸਚਾ ਸੋਈ ॥ ॥
En todas partes, en cada lugar, está la Verdadera Existencia.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਚੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਜਾਣੋ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੩੭॥੪੪॥ ॥
Nanak medita en la Verdad eternamente; conoce al Conocedor de los corazones. ||4|| 37||44||

ਰੈਣਿ ਸੁਹਾਵੜੀ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ॥ ॥
La noche es hermosa, el día es hermoso.
ਜਪਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਮੇਲਾ ॥ ॥
Meditando en el néctar del Nombre, me uno a la compañía de los santos.
ਘੜੀ ਮੂਰਤ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਪਲ ਵੰਞਹਿ ਜੀਵਣੁ ਸਫਲੁ ਤਿਥਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ॥
Por la gracia del Gurú, se cantan las glorias de Dios.
ਸਿਮਰਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੋਖ ਸਭਿ ਲਾਥੇ ॥ ॥
Remembering the Naam, the Name of the Lord, all sinful mistakes are erased.
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਾਥੇ ॥ ॥
Inwardly and outwardly, the Lord God is always with us.
ਭੈ ਭਉ ਭਰਮੁ ਖੋਇਆ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਦੇਖਾ ਸਭਨੀ ਜਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ ॥
Fear, dread and doubt have been dispelled by the Perfect Guru; now, I see God everywhere. ||2||
ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਵਡ ਊਚ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥ ॥
God is All-powerful, Vast, Lofty and Infinite.
ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਭਰੇ ਭੰਡਾਰਾ ॥ ॥
The Naam is overflowing with the nine treasures.
ਆਦਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਮਧਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਈ ਦੂਜਾ ਲਵੈ ਨ ਲਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ ॥
In the beginning, in the middle, and in the end, there is God. Nothing else even comes close to Him. ||3||
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥ ॥
Take pity on me, O my Lord, Merciful to the meek.
ਜਾਚਿਕੁ ਜਾਚੈ ਸਾਧ ਰਵਾਲਾ ॥ ॥
I am a beggar, begging for the dust of the feet of the Holy.
ਦੇਹਿ ਦਾਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਨੁ ਮਾਗੈ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੩੮॥੪੫॥ ॥
Servant Nanak begs for this gift: let me meditate on the Lord, forever and ever. ||4||38||45||
ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ॥
Maajh, Fifth Mehla:
ਐਥੈ ਤੂੰਹੈ ਆਗੈ ਆਪੇ ॥ ॥
You are here, and You are hereafter.
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ੍ਰ ਸਭਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਥਾਪੇ ॥ ॥
All beings and creatures were created by You.
ਤੁਧੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਕਰਤੇ ਮੈ ਧਰ ਓਟ ਤੁਮਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ॥
Without You, there is no other, O Creator. You are my Support and my Protection. ||1||
ਰਸਨਾ ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਜੀਵੈ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥ ॥
The tongue lives by chanting and meditating on the Lord's Name.
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥ ॥
The Supreme Lord God is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts.
ਜਿਨਿ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਤਿਨ ਹੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੋ ਜਨਮੁ ਨ ਜੂਐ ਹਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ ॥
Those who serve the Lord find peace; they do not lose their lives in the gamble. ||2||
ਨਾਮੁ ਅਵਖਧੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਜਨ ਤੇਰੈ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ ॥
Your humble servant, who obtains the Medicine of the Naam,
