ਹਰਿ ਚੇਤਹਿ ਤਿਨ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ ॥ ॥

[Me postro a aquellos que recuerdan a Dios.

ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਤਿਨ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਉ ॥ ॥

Por el Sabda del Gurú, los uno y los reúno.

ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਿ ਲਾਈ ਮੁਖਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਬਹਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਦਾ ॥੨॥ ॥

Cubierto con su polvo en mi rostro y frente, me siento en la congregación del Sat Sangat y canto sus alabanzas.

ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ਜੇ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵਾ ॥ ॥

||2|| Canto las glorias de Dios, si Dios, el Señor, lo desea.

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਹਾਵਾ ॥ ॥

Dentro de mí, el nombre de Dios es dulce por el Sabda.

ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਚਹੁ ਕੁੰਡੀ ਸੁਣੀਐ ਸਾਚੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇਦਾ ॥੩॥ ॥

Escucho el Gurbaani en las cuatro direcciones, y me absorbo en el nombre verdadero.

ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਜਿ ਅੰਤਰੁ ਭਾਲੇ ॥ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲੇ ॥ ॥

||3|| Aquel es verdadero que busca dentro.

ਗਿਆਨ ਅੰਜਨੁ ਪਾਏ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਨਦਰੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਦਾ ॥੪॥ ॥

Por el Sabda del Gurú, Dios lo mira con gracia.

ਵਡੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਇਹੁ ਸਰੀਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ ॥

Recibe el colirio del conocimiento por el Sabda del Gurú, y se une a Dios en la visión divina.

ਮਾਣਸ ਜਨਮਿ ਸਬਦਿ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇਆ ॥ ॥

||4|| Con gran fortuna, he recibido este cuerpo.

ਬਿਨੁ ਸਬਦੈ ਸਭੁ ਅੰਧ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕਿਸਹਿ ਬੁਝਾਇਦਾ ॥੫॥ ॥

En la vida humana, he aplicado mi mente al Sabda.

ਇਕਿ ਕਿਤੁ ਆਏ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਏ ॥ ॥

Sin el Sabda, todo es oscuridad y tinieblas; el Gurú lo ilumina para todos.

ਮਨਮੁਖ ਲਾਗੇ ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਏ ॥ ॥

||5|| ¿Para qué he venido?

ਏਹ ਵੇਲਾ ਫਿਰਿ ਹਾਥਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਪਗਿ ਖਿਸਿਐ ਪਛੁਤਾਇਦਾ ॥੬॥ ॥

He desperdiciado mi vida.

ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰੁ ਸਰੀਰਾ ॥ ॥

Como un hombre egoísta, me he apegado a la dualidad.

ਤਿਸੁ ਵਿਚਿ ਵਸੈ ਸਚੁ ਗੁਣੀ ਗਹੀਰਾ ॥ ॥

Este momento no volverá; me resbalaré y me arrepentiré.

ਸਚੋ ਸਚੁ ਵੇਖੈ ਸਭ ਥਾਈ ਸਚੁ ਸੁਣਿ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਇਦਾ ॥੭॥ ॥

||6|| Por el Sabda del Gurú, el cuerpo se purifica.

ਹਉਮੈ ਗਣਤ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ॥ ॥

Dentro de él reside la Verdad, la cualidad profunda.

ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਰਖਹੁ ਉਰ ਧਾਰੇ ॥ ॥

Ve la Verdad en todas partes; escucha la Verdad y la hace residir en su mente.

ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਦਾ ਸਾਲਾਹੇ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਚੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਦਾ ॥੮॥ ॥

||7|| El Gurú elimina el egoísmo por el Sabda.

ਸੋ ਚੇਤੇ ਜਿਸੁ ਆਪਿ ਚੇਤਾਏ ॥ ॥

Oh Dios, mantén tu ser en mi corazón.

ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਏ ॥ ॥

Siempre alabo al Gurú por su Sabda, y encuentro la paz en la Verdad.

ਆਪੇ ਵੇਖੈ ਆਪੇ ਬੂਝੈ ਆਪੈ ਆਪੁ ਸਮਾਇਦਾ ॥੯॥ ॥

||8|| Aquel que recuerda a Dios, Dios lo recuerda.

ਜਿਨਿ ਮਨ ਵਿਚਿ ਵਥੁ ਪਾਈ ਸੋਈ ਜਾਣੈ ॥ ॥

Por el Sabda del Gurú, reside en mi mente.

ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦੇ ਆਪੁ ਪਛਾਣੈ ॥ ॥

Él mismo ve, él mismo entiende, él mismo se absorbe en sí mismo.

ਆਪੁ ਪਛਾਣੈ ਸੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਣਾਇਦਾ ॥੧੦॥ ॥

||9|| Aquel que ha encontrado el tesoro en su mente, lo sabe.

ਏਹ ਕਾਇਆ ਪਵਿਤੁ ਹੈ ਸਰੀਰੁ ॥ ॥

Por el Sabda del Gurú, reconoce su propio ser.

ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਚੇਤੈ ਗੁਣੀ ਗਹੀਰੁ ॥ ॥

Aquel que reconoce su propio ser es puro; comparte el Sabda de la Palabra.

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ਗੁਣ ਕਹਿ ਗੁਣੀ ਸਮਾਇਦਾ ॥੧੧॥ ॥

||10|| Este cuerpo es puro.

ਏਹੁ ਸਰੀਰੁ ਸਭ ਮੂਲੁ ਹੈ ਮਾਇਆ ॥ ॥

This body is the source of all Maya;

ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਇਆ ॥ ॥

in love with duality, it is deluded by doubt.

ਹਰਿ ਨ ਚੇਤੈ ਸਦਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਚੇਤੇ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਦਾ ॥੧੨॥ ॥

It does not remember the Lord, and suffers in eternal pain. Without remembering the Lord, it suffers in pain. ||12||

ਜਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵੇ ਸੋ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥ ॥

One who serves the True Guru is approved and respected.

ਕਾਇਆ ਹੰਸੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਦਰਿ ਸਚੈ ਜਾਣੁ ॥ ॥

His body and soul-swan are immaculate and pure; in the Court of the Lord, he is known to be true.

ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵੇ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ਸੋਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਦਾ ॥੧੩॥ ॥

He serves the Lord, and enshrines the Lord in his mind; he is exalted, singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||13||

ਬਿਨੁ ਭਾਗਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥ ॥

Without good destiny, no one can serve the True Guru.

ਮਨਮੁਖ ਭੂਲੇ ਮੁਏ ਬਿਲਲਾਇ ॥ ॥

The self-willed manmukhs are deluded, and die weeping and wailing.

ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਨਦਰਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਗੁਰ ਕੇਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਦਾ ॥੧੪॥ ॥

Those who are blessed by the Guru's Glance of Grace - the Dear Lord unites them with Himself. ||14||

ਕਾਇਆ ਕੋਟੁ ਪਕੇ ਹਟਨਾਲੇ ॥ ॥

In the body fortress, are the solidly-constructed markets.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਲੇਵੈ ਵਸਤੁ ਸਮਾਲੇ ॥ ॥

The Gurmukh purchases the object, and takes care of it.

ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਊਤਮ ਪਦਵੀ ਪਾਇਦਾ ॥੧੫॥ ॥

Meditating on the Name of the Lord, day and night, he attains the sublime, exalted status. ||15||

ਆਪੇ ਸਚਾ ਹੈ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ॥ ॥

The True Lord Himself is the Giver of peace.

ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਪਛਾਤਾ ॥ ॥

Through the Shabad of the Perfect Guru, He is realized.

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਲਾਹੇ ਸਾਚਾ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਕੋ ਪਾਇਦਾ ॥੧੬॥੭॥੨੧॥ ॥

Nanak praises the Naam, the True Name of the Lord; through perfect destiny, He is found. ||16||7||21||
