ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਭਗਤੀ ਲਾਵਹੁ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਏ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੨੮॥੩੫॥ ॥

Con tu gracia, Señor, inspírame devoción; Oh, Nanak, bebemos el néctar de la verdad.

||4||28||35|| Mājh, quinto Mehl: Se ha vuelto misericordioso, el Señor Govind, el Soberano.

ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਗੁਸਾਈ ॥ ॥

Llueve en todas partes.

ਮੇਘੁ ਵਰਸੈ ਸਭਨੀ ਥਾਈ ॥ ॥

El compasivo, el misericordioso, el siempre misericordioso, el Creador está presente.

ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਸਦਾ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ਠਾਢਿ ਪਾਈ ਕਰਤਾਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ॥

||1|| Él cuida de todas las criaturas.

ਅਪੁਨੇ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਰੇ ॥ ॥

Como una madre amorosa cuida a su hijo.

ਜਿਉ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਮਾਤਾ ਸੰਮਾਰੇ ॥ ॥

El que elimina el sufrimiento, el océano de la felicidad, el Señor, da todo el sustento.

ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇਤ ਸਗਲ ਆਹਾਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ ॥

||2|| Él está presente en la tierra y en el agua, lleno de misericordia.

ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨਾ ॥ ॥

Siempre me ofrezco en sacrificio a Él.

ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਿ ਜਾਈਐ ਕੁਰਬਾਨਾ ॥ ॥

De noche y de día, medito en Él, que en un instante libera a todos.

ਰੈਣਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਈ ਜਿ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਸਗਲ ਉਧਾਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ ॥

||3|| Dios mismo ha protegido a todos.

ਰਾਖਿ ਲੀਏ ਸਗਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪੇ ॥ ॥

Todos los dolores y sufrimientos han desaparecido.

ਉਤਰਿ ਗਏ ਸਭ ਸੋਗ ਸੰਤਾਪੇ ॥ ॥

Al recitar el Nombre, la mente y el cuerpo se vuelven verdes; Dios, Nanak, mira con gracia.

ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਹਰੀਆਵਲੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੨੯॥੩੬॥ ॥

||4||29||36|| Mājh, quinto Mehl: Donde se recita el Nombre del amado Señor, esos lugares son palacios y mansiones.

ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ॥

Donde no se recita el Nombre, mi Señor, esas ciudades están desoladas.

ਜਿਥੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੀਐ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥ ॥

||1|| Comiendo el pan de la humildad, se mantiene uno en la conciencia de Dios; Dios está dentro y fuera, mirando con gracia.

ਸੇ ਅਸਥਲ ਸੋਇਨ ਚਉਬਾਰੇ ॥ ॥

Comiendo y comiendo, uno se vuelve impuro, como un jardín lleno de veneno.

ਜਿਥੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਜਪੀਐ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਇਦਾ ਸੇਈ ਨਗਰ ਉਜਾੜੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ॥

||2|| No se mezclan con los santos; se asocian con los mundanos y realizan acciones impías.

ਹਰਿ ਰੁਖੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਇ ਸਮਾਲੇ ॥ ॥

Los ignorantes pierden su precioso cuerpo; ellos mismos se destruyen.

ਹਰਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲੇ ॥ ॥

||3|| En tu refugio, mi Señor misericordioso, el océano de la felicidad, mi Gurú Gopál, con tu gracia, Nanak canta tus alabanzas; protégeme de la vergüenza.

ਖਾਇ ਖਾਇ ਕਰੇ ਬਦਫੈਲੀ ਜਾਣੁ ਵਿਸੂ ਕੀ ਵਾੜੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ ॥

||4||30||37|| Mājh, quinto Mehl: Los pies del Señor están grabados en mi corazón.

ਸੰਤਾ ਸੇਤੀ ਰੰਗੁ ਨ ਲਾਏ ॥ ॥

One who does not feel love for the Saints,

ਸਾਕਤ ਸੰਗਿ ਵਿਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਏ ॥ ॥

misbehaves in the company of the wicked shaaktas, the faithless cynics;

ਦੁਲਭ ਦੇਹ ਖੋਈ ਅਗਿਆਨੀ ਜੜ ਅਪੁਣੀ ਆਪਿ ਉਪਾੜੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ ॥

he wastes this human body, so difficult to obtain. In his ignorance, he tears up his own roots. ||3||

ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥ ॥

I seek Your Sanctuary, O my Lord, Merciful to the meek,

ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਗੋਪਾਲਾ ॥ ॥

Ocean of Peace, my Guru, Sustainer of the world.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਸਰਮ ਅਸਾੜੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੩੦॥੩੭॥ ॥

Shower Your Mercy upon Nanak, that he may sing Your Glorious Praises; please, preserve my honor. ||4||30||37||

ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ॥

Maajh, Fifth Mehla:

ਚਰਣ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕੇ ਰਿਦੈ ਸਮਾਣੇ ॥ ॥

I cherish in my heart the Feet of my Lord and Master.

ਕਲਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਸਭ ਦੂਰਿ ਪਇਆਣੇ ॥ ॥

All my troubles and sufferings have run away.

ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਧੁਨਿ ਉਪਜੀ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਿਵਾਸਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ॥

The music of intuitive peace, poise and tranquility wells up within; I dwell in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||1||

ਲਾਗੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਨ ਤੂਟੈ ਮੂਲੇ ॥ ॥

The bonds of love with the Lord are never broken.

ਹਰਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰੇ ॥ ॥

The Lord is totally permeating and pervading inside and out.

ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ਕਾਟੀ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਫਾਸਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ ॥

Meditating, meditating, meditating in remembrance on Him, singing His Glorious Praises, the noose of death is cut away. ||2||

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਵਰਖੈ ਅਨਹਦ ਬਾਣੀ ॥ ॥

The Ambrosial Nectar, the Unstruck Melody of Gurbani rains down continually;

ਮਨ ਤਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਮਾਣੀ ॥ ॥

deep within my mind and body, peace and tranquility have come.

ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਇ ਰਹੇ ਜਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਕੀਆ ਦਿਲਾਸਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ ॥

Your humble servants remain satisfied and fulfilled, and the True Guru blesses them with encouragement and comfort. ||3||

ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਸਾ ਤਿਸ ਤੇ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ ॥

We are His, and from Him, we receive our rewards.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥ ॥

Showering His Mercy upon us, God has united us with Him.

ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣ ਰਹੇ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਪੂਰਨ ਆਸਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੩੧॥੩੮॥ ॥

Our comings and goings have ended, and through great good fortune, O Nanak, our hopes are fulfilled. ||4||31||38||

ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ॥

Maajh, Fifth Mehla:

ਮੀਹੁ ਪਇਆ ਪਰਮੇਸਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ ॥

The rain has fallen; I have found the Transcendent Lord God.

ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਸੁਖੀ ਵਸਾਇਆ ॥ ॥

All beings and creatures dwell in peace.

ਗਇਆ ਕਲੇਸੁ ਭਇਆ ਸੁਖੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਲੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ॥

Suffering has been dispelled, and true happiness has dawned, as we meditate on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||

ਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਸੇ ਤਿਨ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਰੇ ॥ ॥

The One, to whom we belong, cherishes and nurtures us.

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਏ ਰਖਵਾਰੇ ॥ ॥

The Supreme Lord God has become our Protector.

ਸੁਣੀ ਬੇਨੰਤੀ ਠਾਕੁਰਿ ਮੇਰੈ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਈ ਘਾਲੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ ॥

My Lord and Master has heard my prayer; my efforts have been rewarded. ||2||
