ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ॥
Maajh, Quinto Guru.
ਸਫਲ ਸੁ ਬਾਣੀ ਜਿਤੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਣੀ ॥ ॥
Fructífera es la palabra que proclama el Nombre (de Dios).
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਕਿਨੈ ਵਿਰਲੈ ਜਾਣੀ ॥ ॥
Por la Gracia del Guru, algunos pocos la conocen.
ਧੰਨੁ ਸੁ ਵੇਲਾ ਜਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਵਤ ਸੁਨਣਾ ਆਏ ਤੇ ਪਰਵਾਨਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ॥
Bendito es el momento en que uno llega a cantar y escuchar las alabanzas del Señor, y el alma es aprobada. ||1||
ਸੇ ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਜਿਨੀ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪੇਖਾ ॥ ॥
Benditos son los ojos que han visto Su visión.
ਸੇ ਕਰ ਭਲੇ ਜਿਨੀ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਲੇਖਾ ॥ ॥
Benditas son las manos que han escrito las alabanzas del Señor.
ਸੇ ਚਰਣ ਸੁਹਾਵੇ ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਚਲੇ ਹਉ ਬਲਿ ਤਿਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਛਾਣਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ ॥
Benditos son los pies que caminan por el sendero del Señor. Me sacrifico por la compañía de aquellos que lo conocen. ||2||
ਸੁਣਿ ਸਾਜਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੀਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥ ॥
Escucha, mi amigo, mi querido compañero:
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਖਿਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਉਧਾਰੇ ॥ ॥
En la compañía de los santos, uno es liberado en un instante.
ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਕਾਟਿ ਹੋਆ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਮਿਟਿ ਗਏ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ ॥
Los pecados son cortados, la mente se vuelve pura, y el ciclo de nacimiento y muerte termina. ||3||
ਦੁਇ ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਇਕੁ ਬਿਨਉ ਕਰੀਜੈ ॥ ॥
Junta tus manos y haz una sola plegaria:
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਡੁਬਦਾ ਪਥਰੁ ਲੀਜੈ ॥ ॥
Ten misericordia y levanta esta piedra que se hunde.
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਏ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਣਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੨੨॥੨੯॥ ॥
Dios se ha vuelto misericordioso con Nanak; Dios es agradable al corazón de Nanak. ||4||22||29||
ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ॥
Maajh, Quinto Guru.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਤੇਰੀ ॥ ॥
Néctar es Tu Palabra, oh Señor, oh Señor.
ਸੁਣਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਪਰਮ ਗਤਿ ਮੇਰੀ ॥ ॥
Escuchándola una y otra vez, alcanzo el estado supremo.
ਜਲਨਿ ਬੁਝੀ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਹੋਇ ਮਨੂਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪਾਏ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ॥
Mi ardor se apaga, mi mente se vuelve serena, al obtener la visión del Verdadero Guru. ||1||
ਸੂਖੁ ਭਇਆ ਦੁਖੁ ਦੂਰਿ ਪਰਾਨਾ ॥ ॥
Llega la felicidad, el dolor se aleja.
ਸੰਤ ਰਸਨ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਨਾ ॥ ॥
La lengua del santo proclama el Nombre del Señor.
ਜਲ ਥਲ ਨੀਰਿ ਭਰੇ ਸਰ ਸੁਭਰ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਜਾਏ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ ॥
La tierra y el agua están llenas, los lagos rebosan; nadie se va con las manos vacías. ||2||
ਦਇਆ ਧਾਰੀ ਤਿਨਿ ਸਿਰਜਨਹਾਰੇ ॥ ॥
El Creador ha derramado Su misericordia
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਗਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਰੇ ॥ ॥
Sobre todas las criaturas y seres vivos.
ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ਦਇਆਲਾ ਸਗਲੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਏ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ ॥
Misericordioso, compasivo y bondadoso, Él satisface a todos. ||3||
ਵਣੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਣੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣੁ ਕੀਤੋਨੁ ਹਰਿਆ ॥ ॥
El bosque, la hierba, los tres mundos, Él los ha hecho verdes.
ਕਰਣਹਾਰਿ ਖਿਨ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਕਰਿਆ ॥ ॥
El Creador los creó en un instante.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੈ ਅਰਾਧੇ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਆਸ ਪੁਜਾਏ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੨੩॥੩੦॥ ॥
Oh Nanak, los Gurmukhs adoran a Él; las aspiraciones de sus corazones son cumplidas. ||4||23||30||
ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ॥
Maajh, Quinto Guru.
ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਤੂੰਹੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਤਾ ॥ ॥
Oh Nanak, los Gurmukhs adoran a Él; las aspiraciones de sus corazones son cumplidas. ||4||23||30||
ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਬੰਧਪੁ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਭ੍ਰਾਤਾ ॥ ॥
You are my Relative, and You are my Brother.
ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਰਾਖਾ ਸਭਨੀ ਥਾਈ ਤਾ ਭਉ ਕੇਹਾ ਕਾੜਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ॥
You are my Protector everywhere; why should I feel any fear or anxiety? ||1||
ਤੁਮਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਪਛਾਣਾ ॥ ॥
By Your Grace, I recognize You.
ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਓਟ ਤੂੰਹੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਣਾ ॥ ॥
You are my Shelter, and You are my Honor.
ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਸਭੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਖੇਲੁ ਅਖਾੜਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ ॥
Without You, there is no other; the entire Universe is the Arena of Your Play. ||2||
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਤੁਧੁ ਉਪਾਏ ॥ ॥
You have created all beings and creatures.
ਜਿਤੁ ਜਿਤੁ ਭਾਣਾ ਤਿਤੁ ਤਿਤੁ ਲਾਏ ॥ ॥
As it pleases You, You assign tasks to one and all.
ਸਭ ਕਿਛੁ ਕੀਤਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੋਵੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਅਸਾੜਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ ॥
All things are Your Doing; we can do nothing ourselves. ||3||
ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਮਹਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ ॥
Meditating on the Naam, I have found great peace.
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਸੀਤਲਾਇਆ ॥ ॥
Singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, my mind is cooled and soothed.
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਵਜੀ ਵਾਧਾਈ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਤਾ ਬਿਖਾੜਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੨੪॥੩੧॥ ॥
Through the Perfect Guru, congratulations are pouring in-Nanak is victorious on the arduous battlefield of life! ||4||24||31||
ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ॥
Maajh, Fifth Mehla:
ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਨਹਿ ਅਧਾਰਾ ॥ ॥
God is the Breath of Life of my soul, the Support of my mind.
ਭਗਤ ਜੀਵਹਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥ ॥
His devotees live by singing the Glorious Praises of the Infinite Lord.
ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇ ਧਿਆਇ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ॥
The Ambrosial Name of the Lord is the Treasure of Excellence. Meditating, meditating on the Lord's Name, I have found peace. ||1||
ਮਨਸਾ ਧਾਰਿ ਜੋ ਘਰ ਤੇ ਆਵੈ ॥ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਨਮੁ ਮਰਣੁ ਮਿਟਾਵੈ ॥ ॥
One whose heart's desires lead him from his own home to the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, shall be rid of the cycle of birth and death.
