ਕਲਰ ਖੇਤੀ ਤਰਵਰ ਕੰਠੇ ਬਾਗਾ ਪਹਿਰਹਿ ਕਜਲੁ ਝਰੈ ॥ ॥

[Cultivan campos de color, adornan jardines y sus ojos derraman lágrimas de kohl.

ਏਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਤਿਸੈ ਕੀ ਕੋਠੀ ਜੋ ਪੈਸੈ ਸੋ ਗਰਬਿ ਜਰੈ ॥੬॥ ॥

Este mundo es la casa de aquel que, al obtener riqueza, perece en el orgullo.

ਰਯਤਿ ਰਾਜੇ ਕਹਾ ਸਬਾਏ ਦੁਹੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸੋ ਜਾਸੀ ॥ ॥

Los súbditos y los reyes, todos, ¿dónde irán?

ਕਹਤ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਗੁਰ ਸਚੇ ਕੀ ਪਉੜੀ ਰਹਸੀ ਅਲਖੁ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ॥੭॥੩॥੧੧॥ ॥

Dice Nanak: Aquel que se apoya en el Gurú verdadero, permanece oculto, invisible.

ਮਾਰੂ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ਘਰੁ ੫ ਅਸਟਪਦੀ ॥

Aquel en quien reside el amor, a través de la verdadera palabra, en la paz y la naturaleza.

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ॥

Solo él conoce este dolor, ¿quién más lo conoce?

ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ॥ ॥

Él mismo une, él mismo une, él mismo infunde su amor.

ਸਾਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ॥ ॥

Solo aquel a quien miras con tu gracia conoce la esencia del amor.

ਏਹਾ ਵੇਦਨ ਸੋਈ ਜਾਣੈ ਅਵਰੁ ਕਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਕਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ॥

La visión divina despierta, el engaño se desvanece, por la gracia del Gurú, se alcanza la morada suprema.

ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲੇ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥ ॥

Ese yogui reconoce esta práctica, reflexionando sobre la palabra del Gurú.

ਆਪਣਾ ਪਿਆਰੁ ਆਪੇ ਲਾਏ ॥ ॥

La unión con el amado se realiza, la mala conducta se abandona por la sabiduría del Gurú.

ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕੀ ਸਾਰ ਸੋਈ ਜਾਣੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਨਦਰਿ ਤੁਮਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥

Siempre se regocija en el amor, con su amado.

ਦਿਬ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਜਾਗੈ ਭਰਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਏ ॥ ॥

Sin el Gurú, no hay médico, él mismo es puro e inmaculado.

ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਪਰਮ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਏ ॥ ॥

Al encontrarse con el Gurú, la maldad perece, a través de la sabiduría.

ਸੋ ਜੋਗੀ ਇਹ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਪਛਾਣੈ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ ॥

Esta palabra es la esencia para quien la recibe, el gurú elimina el deseo y el hambre.

ਸੰਜੋਗੀ ਧਨ ਪਿਰ ਮੇਲਾ ਹੋਵੈ ॥ ॥

No se obtiene nada por sí mismo, con tu gracia, el tiempo se transforma.

ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਖੋਵੈ ॥ ॥

El Gurú revela lo incognoscible, por su gracia, viene a su morada.

ਰੰਗ ਸਿਉ ਨਿਤ ਰਲੀਆ ਮਾਣੈ ਅਪਣੇ ਕੰਤ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ ॥

El puro se conoce en el ojo, a aquellos a quienes miras con tu gracia.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਵੈਦੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥ ॥

El gurú hace que uno se convierta en esa verdad.

ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਸੋਈ ॥ ॥

He Himself is the Immaculate Lord.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਮਰੈ ਮੰਦਾ ਹੋਵੈ ਗਿਆਨ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥ ॥

Meeting with the True Guru, evil is conquered, and spiritual wisdom is contemplated. ||4||

ਏਹੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਸਾਰੁ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਲਾਏ ॥ ॥

One who is committed to this most sublime Shabad

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਭੁਖ ਗਵਾਏ ॥ ॥

becomes Gurmukh, and is rid of thirst and hunger.

ਆਪਣ ਲੀਆ ਕਿਛੂ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਲ ਧਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੫॥ ॥

By one's own efforts, nothing can be accomplished; the Lord, in His Mercy, bestows power. ||5||

ਅਗਮ ਨਿਗਮੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ॥ ॥

The True Guru has revealed the essence of the Shaastras and the Vedas.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਪਨੈ ਘਰਿ ਆਇਆ ॥ ॥

In His Mercy, He has come into the home of my self.

ਅੰਜਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਜਾਤਾ ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਨਦਰਿ ਤੁਮਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੬॥ ॥

In the midst of Maya, the Immaculate Lord is known, by those upon whom You bestow Your Grace. ||6||

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੋ ਤਤੁ ਪਾਏ ॥ ॥

One who becomes Gurmukh, obtains the essence of reality;

ਆਪਣਾ ਆਪੁ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਗਵਾਏ ॥ ॥

he eradictes his self-conceit from within.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਸਭੁ ਧੰਧੁ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਵੇਖਹੁ ਮਨਿ ਵੀਚਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੭॥ ॥

Without the True Guru, all are entangled in worldly affairs; consider this in your mind, and see. ||7||

ਇਕਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਭੂਲੇ ਫਿਰਹਿ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ ॥ ॥

Some are deluded by doubt; they strut around egotistically.

ਇਕਨਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰੀ ॥ ॥

Some, as Gurmukh, subdue their egotism.

ਸਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਰਤੇ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਹੋਰਿ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲੇ ਗਾਵਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੮॥ ॥

Attuned to the True Word of the Shabad, they remain detached from the world. The other ignorant fools wander, confused and deluded by doubt. ||8||

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਿਨੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ ॥

Those who have not become Gurmukh, and who have not found the Naam, the Name of the Lord

ਮਨਮੁਖਿ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥ ॥

those self-willed manmukhs waste their lives uselessly.

ਅਗੈ ਵਿਣੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਕੋ ਬੇਲੀ ਨਾਹੀ ਬੂਝੈ ਗੁਰ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੯॥ ॥

In the world hereafter, nothing except the Name will be of any assistance; this is understood by contemplating the Guru. ||9||

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ॥ ॥

The Ambrosial Naam is the Giver of peace forever.

ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਜੁਗ ਚਾਰੇ ਜਾਤਾ ॥ ॥

Throughout the four ages, it is known through the Perfect Guru.

ਜਿਸੁ ਤੂ ਦੇਵਹਿ ਸੋਈ ਪਾਏ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ਜੀਉ ॥੧੦॥੧॥ ॥

He alone receives it, unto whom You bestow it; this is the essence of reality which Nanak has realized. ||10||1||
