ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਧਾਰਿ ॥ ॥

[Oh, mi mente, lleva el Nombre en tu corazón. Con amor, une tu mente y cuerpo al Señor, y olvida todo lo demás. ||1|| Refrán. Mi vida, mi mente, mi cuerpo, mi aliento pertenecen al Señor; renuncia a tu propio ego. Adora a Govind; todos tus deseos serán satisfechos; oh Nanak, nunca te desanimes. ||2||4||27||

ਕਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਲਾਇ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਅਵਰ ਸਗਲ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥

Renuncia a tu ego, y el sufrimiento se extinguirá; busca la compañía de los santos. Por Su gracia, Él te concede Su Nombre. ||1||

ਜੀਉ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇ ਤੂ ਆਪਨ ਆਪੁ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ॥ ॥

Oh, mi mente, bebe el néctar del Nombre. Olvida los placeres mundanos; obtén la inmortalidad, y vive por siempre jamás. ||1|| Refrán.

ਗੋਵਿਦ ਭਜੁ ਸਭਿ ਸੁਆਰਥ ਪੂਰੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਬਹੁ ਨ ਹਾਰਿ ॥੨॥੪॥੨੭॥ ॥

El Nombre es el único sabor, el único color; mi mente está absorta en el Nombre. Mi Amado, mi amigo, mi compañero, mi pariente es el único Señor; oh Nanak, esto es lo que Él ha hecho. ||2||5||28||

ਮਾਰੂ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ॥

El Señor protege a la madre en el vientre, y le da el afecto maternal; Él no permite que sufra. El mismo Señor protege a Sus criaturas en este mundo; Él les da entendimiento, sabiduría y discernimiento. ||1||

ਤਜਿ ਆਪੁ ਬਿਨਸੀ ਤਾਪੁ ਰੇਣ ਸਾਧੂ ਥੀਉ ॥ ॥

Oh, mi mente, busca refugio en el Nombre. Él comprende a aquellos a quienes Él ha creado; Dios es la única Causa de todas las causas. ||1|| Refrán.

ਤਿਸਹਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਕਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਦੀਉ ॥੧॥ ॥

Recuerda al Señor en tu mente; abandona la sabiduría mundana, y renuncia a todas las apariencias externas. Recuerda al Señor, al Señor, para siempre; oh Nanak, muchos han sido salvados. ||2||6||29||

ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਉ ॥ ॥

El Nombre purifica a los caídos, y es el refugio de los desamparados. Él salva a aquellos que están en el profundo océano del miedo, cuyos destinos están escritos en sus frentes. ||1||

ਆਨ ਸਾਦ ਬਿਸਾਰਿ ਹੋਛੇ ਅਮਰੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥

Sin el Nombre, todos se hunden en las profundidades. La Causa de todas las causas no se puede comprender con la mente; Dios extiende Su mano protectora. ||1|| Refrán.

ਨਾਮੁ ਇਕ ਰਸ ਰੰਗ ਨਾਮਾ ਨਾਮਿ ਲਾਗੀ ਲੀਉ ॥ ॥

En la compañía de los santos, canta las glorias del Señor; bebe el néctar del Nombre. Oh, Murari, oh Madhav, ten piedad; oh Nanak, escuchando esto, mi alma vive.]

ਮੀਤੁ ਸਾਜਨੁ ਸਖਾ ਬੰਧਪੁ ਹਰਿ ਏਕੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀਉ ॥੨॥੫॥੨੮॥ ॥

Nanak has made the One Lord his only friend, companion and relative. ||2||5||28||

ਮਾਰੂ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ॥

Maaroo, Fifth Mehla:

ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਿ ਮਾਤਾ ਉਦਰਿ ਰਾਖੈ ਲਗਨਿ ਦੇਤ ਨ ਸੇਕ ॥ ॥

He nourishes and preserves mortals in the womb of the mother, so that the fiery heat does not hurt them.

ਸੋਈ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਈਹਾ ਰਾਖੈ ਬੂਝੁ ਬੁਧਿ ਬਿਬੇਕ ॥੧॥ ॥

That Lord and Master protects us here. Understand this in your mind. ||1||

ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਕਰਿ ਟੇਕ ॥ ॥

O my mind, take the Support of the Naam, the Name of the Lord.

ਤਿਸਹਿ ਬੂਝੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਤੂ ਕੀਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਏਕ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥

Understand the One who created you; the One God is the Cause of causes. ||1||Pause||

ਚੇਤਿ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਤਜਿ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਛੋਡਿ ਸਗਲੇ ਭੇਖ ॥ ॥

Remember the One Lord in your mind, renounce your clever tricks, and give up all your religious robes.

ਸਿਮਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਰੇ ਕਈ ਅਨੇਕ ॥੨॥੬॥੨੯॥ ॥

Meditating in remembrance forever on the Lord, Har, Har, O Nanak, countless beings have been saved. ||2||6||29||

ਮਾਰੂ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ॥

Maaroo, Fifth Mehla:

ਪਤਿਤ ਪਾਵਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਅਨਾਥ ਕੋ ਹੈ ਨਾਥੁ ॥ ॥

His Name is the Purifier of sinners; He is the Master of the masterless.

ਮਹਾ ਭਉਜਲ ਮਾਹਿ ਤੁਲਹੋ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਲਿਖਿਓ ਮਾਥ ॥੧॥ ॥

In the vast and terrifying world-ocean, he is the raft for those who have such destiny inscribed on their foreheads. ||1||

ਡੂਬੇ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨੁ ਘਨ ਸਾਥ ॥ ॥

Without the Naam, the Name of the Lord, huge numbers of companions have drowned.

ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣੁ ਚਿਤਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਦੇ ਕਰਿ ਰਾਖੈ ਹਾਥ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥

Even if someone does not remember the Lord, the Cause of causes, still, the Lord reaches out with His hand, and saves him. ||1||Pause||

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਗੁਣ ਉਚਾਰਣ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪਾਥ ॥ ॥

In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, chant the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and take the Path of the Ambrosial Name of the Lord.

ਕਰਹੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ਮਾਧਉ ਸੁਣਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀਵੈ ਗਾਥ ॥੨॥੭॥੩੦॥ ॥

Shower me with Your Mercy, O Lord; listening to Your sermon, Nanak lives. ||2||7||30||

ਮਾਰੂ ਅੰਜੁਲੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਘਰੁ ੭ ॥

Maaroo, Anjulee ~ With Hands Cupped In Prayer, Fifth Mehla, Seventh House:

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਸੰਜੋਗੁ ਵਿਜੋਗੁ ਧੁਰਹੁ ਹੀ ਹੂਆ ॥ ॥

Union and separation are ordained by the Primal Lord God.

ਪੰਚ ਧਾਤੁ ਕਰਿ ਪੁਤਲਾ ਕੀਆ ॥ ॥

The puppet is made from the five elements.

ਸਾਹੈ ਕੈ ਫੁਰਮਾਇਅੜੈ ਜੀ ਦੇਹੀ ਵਿਚਿ ਜੀਉ ਆਇ ਪਇਆ ॥੧॥ ॥

By the Command of the Dear Lord King, the soul came and entered into the body. ||1||

ਜਿਥੈ ਅਗਨਿ ਭਖੈ ਭੜਹਾਰੇ ॥ ॥

In that place, where the fire rages like an oven,

ਊਰਧ ਮੁਖ ਮਹਾ ਗੁਬਾਰੇ ॥ ॥

in that darkness where the body lies face down

ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਮਾਲੇ ਸੋਈ ਓਥੈ ਖਸਮਿ ਛਡਾਇ ਲਇਆ ॥੨॥ ॥

- there, one remembers his Lord and Master with each and every breath, and then he is rescued. ||2||

ਵਿਚਹੁ ਗਰਭੈ ਨਿਕਲਿ ਆਇਆ ॥ ॥

Then, one comes out from within the womb,

ਖਸਮੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਦੁਨੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇਆ ॥ ॥

and forgetting his Lord and Master, he attaches his consciousness to the world.

ਆਵੈ ਜਾਇ ਭਵਾਈਐ ਜੋਨੀ ਰਹਣੁ ਨ ਕਿਤਹੀ ਥਾਇ ਭਇਆ ॥੩॥ ॥

He comes and goes, and wanders in reincarnation; he cannot remain anywhere. ||3||

ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨਿ ਰਖਿ ਲਇਅਨੁ ਆਪੇ ॥ ॥

The Merciful Lord Himself emancipates.

ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਤਿਸ ਕੇ ਥਾਪੇ ॥ ॥

He created and established all beings and creatures.

ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਜਿਣਿ ਚਲਿਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਇਆ ਸੋ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਥਿਆ ॥੪॥੧॥੩੧॥ ॥

Those who depart after having been victorious in this priceless human life - O Nanak, their coming into the world is approved. ||4||1||31||
