ਏਹੁ ਜੋਗੁ ਨ ਹੋਵੈ ਜੋਗੀ ਜਿ ਕੁਟੰਬੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਪਰਭਵਣੁ ਕਰਹਿ ॥ ॥

यह योग नहीं होता, हे योगी, जो कुटुम्ब छोड़कर परमेश्वर की प्राप्ति का दावा करें। गृहस्थ जीवन में ही हरि-नाम का ध्यान करें, गुरु की कृपा से परमात्मा को प्राप्त करो।।८।।

ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਮਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਅਪਣਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਲਹਹਿ ॥੮॥ ॥

यह संसार मिट्टी का पुतला है, हे योगी, इसमें बड़ा रोग है, कामना और माया। अनेक प्रयास और वेश धारण करता है योगी, पर रोग नहीं जाता।।९।।

ਇਹੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਮਿਟੀ ਕਾ ਪੁਤਲਾ ਜੋਗੀ ਇਸੁ ਮਹਿ ਰੋਗੁ ਵਡਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਮਾਇਆ ॥ ॥

हरि का नाम औषधि है, हे योगी, जिसे मन में धारण करो। गुरुमुख होकर ही समझता है, योग का मार्ग पाता है।।१०।।

ਅਨੇਕ ਜਤਨ ਭੇਖ ਕਰੇ ਜੋਗੀ ਰੋਗੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥੯॥ ॥

योग का मार्ग कठिन है, हे योगी, जिस पर कृपा करे वही पाता है। अंदर और बाहर एक ही देखता है, भीतर का भ्रम दूर करता है।।११।।

ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਹੈ ਜੋਗੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ॥ ॥

बिना बजाए, किंगुरी बजती है, हे योगी, वह किंगुरी बजाओ। कहता है नानक, मुक्ति प्राप्त करते हैं योगी, जो सत्य में लीन रहते हैं।।१२।।१।।१०।।

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੋਈ ਬੂਝੈ ਜੋਗ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਸੋ ਪਾਏ ॥੧੦॥ ॥

रामकली महला ३ ॥

ਜੋਗੈ ਕਾ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਬਿਖਮੁ ਹੈ ਜੋਗੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਸੋ ਪਾਏ ॥ ॥

भक्ति खजाना गुरुमुख से प्राप्त होता है, सतगुरु ने समझाकर समझाया।।१।।

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਏਕੋ ਵੇਖੈ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਭਰਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਏ ॥੧੧॥ ॥

संतों से गुरुमुख को महिमा मिलती है।।१।। रहाउ।।

ਵਿਣੁ ਵਜਾਈ ਕਿੰਗੁਰੀ ਵਾਜੈ ਜੋਗੀ ਸਾ ਕਿੰਗੁਰੀ ਵਜਾਇ ॥ ॥

सत्य में रहो, सदैव सहज सुख उत्पन्न होगा, काम क्रोध भीतर से चले जाएँगे।।२।।

ਕਹੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਜੋਗੀ ਸਾਚੇ ਰਹਹਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੧੨॥੧॥੧੦॥ ॥

आप को छोड़कर नाम में प्रेम लगाओ, ममता शब्द से जल जाएगी।।३।।

ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥ ॥

जिससे उत्पन्न होता है, उसी से नष्ट होता है, अंत में नाम ही साथी है।।४।।

ਭਗਤਿ ਖਜਾਨਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਤਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਬੂਝਿ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥੧॥ ॥

सदैव परमात्मा के समीप रहो, दूर मत देखो, उस रचना को जिसने रचा है।।५।।

ਸੰਤਹੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਦੇਇ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥

सच्चा शब्द हृदय में रहता है, सच्चे से प्रेम लगाओ।।६।।

ਸਚਿ ਰਹਹੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਹਜੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਉਪਜੈ ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਜਾਈ ॥੨॥ ॥

सत्संगत में नाम अनमोल है, बड़े भाग्य से प्राप्त होता है।।७।।

ਆਪੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਨਾਮ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ਮਮਤਾ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਲਾਈ ॥੩॥ ॥

भ्रम में मत भूलो, सतगुरु की सेवा करो, मन को एक जगह रखो।।८।।

ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਉਪਜੈ ਤਿਸ ਤੇ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਅੰਤੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਖਾਈ ॥੪॥ ॥

बिना नाम के सब भूल जाते हैं फिर...

ਸਦਾ ਹਜੂਰਿ ਦੂਰਿ ਨਹ ਦੇਖਹੁ ਰਚਨਾ ਜਿਨਿ ਰਚਾਈ ॥੫॥ ॥

He is ever-present; don't think that He is far away. He created the creation. ||5||

ਸਚਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਰਵੈ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਚੇ ਸਿਉ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੬॥ ॥

Deep within your heart, chant the True Word of the Shabad; remain lovingly absorbed in the True Lord. ||6||

ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਰਮੋਲਕੁ ਵਡੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਈ ॥੭॥ ॥

The Priceless Naam is in the Society of the Saints; by great good fortune, it is obtained. ||7||

ਭਰਮਿ ਨ ਭੂਲਹੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਇਕ ਠਾਈ ॥੮॥ ॥

Do not be deluded by doubt; serve the True Guru, and keep your mind steady in one place. ||8||

ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਸਭ ਭੂਲੀ ਫਿਰਦੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਈ ॥੯॥ ॥

Without the Name, everyone wanders around in confusion; they waste away their lives in vain. ||9||

ਜੋਗੀ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਗਵਾਈ ਹੰਢੈ ਪਾਖੰਡਿ ਜੋਗੁ ਨ ਪਾਈ ॥੧੦॥ ॥

Yogi, you have lost the Way; you wander around confused. Through hypocrisy, Yoga is not attained. ||10||

ਸਿਵ ਨਗਰੀ ਮਹਿ ਆਸਣਿ ਬੈਸੈ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਜੋਗੁ ਪਾਈ ॥੧੧॥ ॥

Sitting in Yogic postures in the City of God, through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, you shall find Yoga. ||11||

ਧਾਤੁਰ ਬਾਜੀ ਸਬਦਿ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਈ ॥੧੨॥ ॥

Restrain your restless wanderings through the Shabad, and the Naam will come to dwell in your mind. ||12||

ਏਹੁ ਸਰੀਰੁ ਸਰਵਰੁ ਹੈ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਇਸਨਾਨੁ ਕਰੇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੧੩॥ ॥

This body is a pool, O Saints; bathe in it, and enshrine love for the Lord. ||13||

ਨਾਮਿ ਇਸਨਾਨੁ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੇ ਜਨ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸਬਦੇ ਮੈਲੁ ਗਵਾਈ ॥੧੪॥ ॥

Those who cleanse themselves through the Naam, are the most immaculate people; through the Shabad, they wash off their filth. ||14||

ਤ੍ਰੈ ਗੁਣ ਅਚੇਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਚੇਤਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਈ ॥੧੫॥ ॥

Trapped by the three qualities, the unconscious person does not think of the Naam; without the Name, he wastes away. ||15||

ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਬਿਸਨੁ ਮਹੇਸੁ ਤ੍ਰੈ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਗੁਣਿ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਈ ॥੧੬॥ ॥

The three forms of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva are trapped in the three qualities, lost in confusion. ||16||

ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਕੁਟੀ ਛੂਟੈ ਚਉਥੈ ਪਦਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੧੭॥ ॥

By Guru's Grace, this triad is eradicated, and one is lovingly absorbed in the fourth state. ||17||

ਪੰਡਿਤ ਪੜਹਿ ਪੜਿ ਵਾਦੁ ਵਖਾਣਹਿ ਤਿੰਨਾ ਬੂਝ ਨ ਪਾਈ ॥੧੮॥ ॥

The Pandits, the religious scholars, read, study and discuss the arguments; they do not understand. ||18||

ਬਿਖਿਆ ਮਾਤੇ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਏ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਕਹਹਿ ਕਿਸੁ ਭਾਈ ॥੧੯॥ ॥

Engrossed in corruption, they wander in confusion; who can they possibly instruct, O Siblings of Destiny? ||19||

ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਊਤਮ ਬਾਣੀ ਜੁਗਿ ਜੁਗਿ ਰਹੀ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੨੦॥ ॥

The Bani, the Word of the humble devotee is the most sublime and exalted; it prevails throughout the ages. ||20||

ਬਾਣੀ ਲਾਗੈ ਸੋ ਗਤਿ ਪਾਏ ਸਬਦੇ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੨੧॥ ॥

One who is committed to this Bani is emancipated, and through the Shabad, merges in Truth. ||21||
