ਤ੍ਰਿਤੀਅ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਸਿੰਚੇ ਮਾਇ ॥ ॥

रामकली महला ५ ॥

ਬਿਰਧਿ ਭਇਆ ਛੋਡਿ ਚਲਿਓ ਪਛੁਤਾਇ ॥੨॥ ॥

संयोग करके बनाया था, उसके साथ रहा, मोह में लगा रहा।

ਚਿਰੰਕਾਲ ਪਾਈ ਦ੍ਰੁਲਭ ਦੇਹ ॥ ॥

प्रतिपल उसकी सेवा करता रहा, अंत समय में वह उठाकर ले गया ॥

ਨਾਮ ਬਿਹੂਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਖੇਹ ॥ ॥

१॥

ਪਸੂ ਪਰੇਤ ਮੁਗਧ ਤੇ ਬੁਰੀ ॥ ॥

नाम के बिना सब झूठा है, गोविंद के भजन के बिना अन्य संगति में लगे हुए सब माया में फँसे हुए हैं ॥

ਤਿਸਹਿ ਨ ਬੂਝੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਏਹ ਸਿਰੀ ॥੩॥ ॥

१॥

ਸੁਣਿ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਗੋਪਾਲ ॥ ॥

रहाउ ॥

ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਸਦਾ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ॥ ॥

तीर्थ स्नान से मैल नहीं उतरता, कर्म और धर्म सब अहंकार से फैलते हैं।

ਤੁਮਹਿ ਛਡਾਵਹੁ ਛੁਟਕਹਿ ਬੰਧ ॥ ॥

लोग प्रशंसा करते हैं, पर गति नहीं होती, नाम के बिना रोते हुए चलते हैं ॥

ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਗ ਅੰਧ ॥੪॥੧੨॥੨੩॥ ॥

२॥

ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ॥

हरि नाम के बिना पटल नहीं टूटता, शास्त्र और स्मृतियाँ सब व्यर्थ हैं।

ਕਰਿ ਸੰਜੋਗੁ ਬਨਾਈ ਕਾਛਿ ॥ ॥

वह नाम जपता है, जिसको परमात्मा ने जपने को प्रेरित किया है, सभी फल उस सुख में समा जाते हैं ॥

ਤਿਸੁ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਇਆਨਾ ਰਾਚਿ ॥ ॥

३॥

ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਰੈ ਨਿਤ ਸਾਰਿ ਸਮਾਰੈ ॥ ॥

हे रक्षक, आप ही रखो, सब सुख आपके हाथ में हैं, जहाँ लगाओ वहाँ लग जाते हैं, हे स्वामी, नानक कहता है, हे अंतर्यामी!

ਅੰਤ ਕੀ ਬਾਰ ਊਠਿ ਸਿਧਾਰੈ ॥੧॥ ॥

॥

ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਸਭੁ ਝੂਠੁ ਪਰਾਨੀ ॥ ॥

४॥

ਗੋਵਿਦ ਭਜਨ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਤੇ ਸਭਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੂਠੁ ਪਰਾਨੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥

१३॥

ਤੀਰਥ ਨਾਇ ਨ ਉਤਰਸਿ ਮੈਲੁ ॥ ॥

२४॥

ਕਰਮ ਧਰਮ ਸਭਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਫੈਲੁ ॥ ॥

Religious rituals are all just egotistical displays.

ਲੋਕ ਪਚਾਰੈ ਗਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਹੋਇ ॥ ॥

By pleasing and appeasing people, no one is saved.

ਨਾਮ ਬਿਹੂਣੇ ਚਲਸਹਿ ਰੋਇ ॥੨॥ ॥

Without the Naam, they shall depart weeping. ||2||

ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਨ ਟੂਟਸਿ ਪਟਲ ॥ ॥

Without the Lord's Name, the screen is not torn away.

ਸੋਧੇ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਸਗਲ ॥ ॥

I have studied all the Shaastras and Simritees.

ਸੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਆਪਿ ਜਪਾਏ ॥ ॥

He alone chants the Naam, whom the Lord Himself inspires to chant.

ਸਗਲ ਫਲਾ ਸੇ ਸੂਖਿ ਸਮਾਏ ॥੩॥ ॥

He obtains all fruits and rewards, and merges in peace. ||3||

ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰੇ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਆਪਿ ॥ ॥

O Savior Lord, please save me!

ਸਗਲ ਸੁਖਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੁਮਰੈ ਹਾਥਿ ॥ ॥

All peace and comforts are in Your Hand, God.

ਜਿਤੁ ਲਾਵਹਿ ਤਿਤੁ ਲਾਗਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥ ॥

Whatever you attach me to, to that I am attached, O my Lord and Master.

ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥੪॥੧੩॥੨੪॥ ॥

O Nanak, the Lord is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts. ||4||13||24||

ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ॥

Raamkalee, Fifth Mehla:

ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰੈ ਸੋਈ ਸੁਖੁ ਜਾਨਾ ॥ ॥

Whatever He does makes me happy.

ਮਨੁ ਅਸਮਝੁ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਪਤੀਆਨਾ ॥ ॥

The ignorant mind is encouraged, in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.

ਡੋਲਨ ਤੇ ਚੂਕਾ ਠਹਰਾਇਆ ॥ ॥

Now, it does not waver at all; it has become stable and steady.

ਸਤਿ ਮਾਹਿ ਲੇ ਸਤਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ॥

Receiving Truth, it is merged in the True Lord. ||1||

ਦੂਖੁ ਗਇਆ ਸਭੁ ਰੋਗੁ ਗਇਆ ॥ ॥

Pain is gone, and all illness is gone.

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਮਾਨੀ ਮਹਾ ਪੁਰਖ ਕਾ ਸੰਗੁ ਭਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥

I have accepted the Will of God in my mind, associating with the Great Person, the Guru. ||1||Pause||

ਸਗਲ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਰਬ ਨਿਰਮਲਾ ॥ ॥

All is pure; all is immaculate.

ਜੋ ਵਰਤਾਏ ਸੋਈ ਭਲਾ ॥ ॥

Whatever exists is good.

ਜਹ ਰਾਖੈ ਸੋਈ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਥਾਨੁ ॥ ॥

Wherever He keeps me, that is the place of liberation for me.

ਜੋ ਜਪਾਏ ਸੋਈ ਨਾਮੁ ॥੨॥ ॥

Whatever He makes me chant, is His Name. ||2||

ਅਠਸਠਿ ਤੀਰਥ ਜਹ ਸਾਧ ਪਗ ਧਰਹਿ ॥ ॥

That is the sixty-eight sacred shrines of pilgrimage, where the Holy place their feet,

ਤਹ ਬੈਕੁੰਠੁ ਜਹ ਨਾਮੁ ਉਚਰਹਿ ॥ ॥

and that is heaven, where the Naam is chanted.

ਸਰਬ ਅਨੰਦ ਜਬ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪਾਈਐ ॥ ॥

All bliss comes, when one obtains the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan.

ਰਾਮ ਗੁਣਾ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਈਐ ॥੩॥ ॥

I sing continuously, continually, the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||3||

ਆਪੇ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਬਿਆਪਿ ॥ ॥

The Lord Himself is pervading in each and every heart.

ਦਇਆਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਪਰਗਟ ਪਰਤਾਪ ॥ ॥

The glory of the Merciful Lord is radiant and manifest.

ਕਪਟ ਖੁਲਾਨੇ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਨਾਠੇ ਦੂਰੇ ॥ ॥

The shutters are opened, and doubts have run away.

ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਗੁਰ ਭੇਟੇ ਪੂਰੇ ॥੪॥੧੪॥੨੫॥ ॥

Nanak has met with the Perfect Guru. ||4||14||25||

ਰਾਮਕਲੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ॥

Raamkalee, Fifth Mehla:

ਕੋਟਿ ਜਾਪ ਤਾਪ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ॥ ॥

Millions of meditations and austerities rest in him,

ਰਿਧਿ ਬੁਧਿ ਸਿਧਿ ਸੁਰ ਗਿਆਨ ॥ ॥

along with wealth, wisdom, miraculous spiritual powers and angelic spiritual insight.

ਅਨਿਕ ਰੂਪ ਰੰਗ ਭੋਗ ਰਸੈ ॥ ॥

He enjoys the various shows and forms, pleasures and delicacies;

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਮਖ ਰਿਦੈ ਵਸੈ ॥੧॥ ॥

the Naam, the Name of the Lord, dwells within the heart of the Gurmukh. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥ ॥

Such is the glorious greatness of the Name of the Lord.

ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ॥

Its value cannot be described. ||1||Pause||

ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਧੀਰਜ ਮਤਿ ਪੂਰਾ ॥ ॥

He alone is brave, patient and perfectly wise;
