ਦੁਤਿਯ ਦਿਵਸ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਜਾਵੈ ॥
Al segundo día, va a su casa.
ਰਾਨੀ ਭੇਸ ਸੰਨ੍ਯਾਸਿਨਿ ਧਰੈ ॥
La reina adopta el disfraz de una asceta.
ਕਾਮ ਭੋਗ ਰਾਜਾ ਤਨ ਕਰੈ ॥੧੯॥
El rey se entrega a los placeres carnales.
ਤਿਹ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਦੁਤਿਯ ਨਾਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਨੈ ॥
Ese rey la considera su segunda esposa.
ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਨ ਮੂੜ੍ਰਹ ਪਛਾਨੈ ॥
El necio no distingue lo aparente de lo oculto.
ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਨਹੀ ਲਖਿ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
No puede comprender las artimañas de la mujer.
ਨਿਤਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਅਪਨੋ ਮੂੰਡ ਮੁੰਡਾਵੈ ॥੨੦॥
Cada día se afeita la cabeza.

ਬਿਧੀ ਸੈਨ ਰਾਜਾ ਇਕ ਸੂਰੋ ॥
Bidhi Sain was a king, a warrior.
ਤੇਗ ਦੇਗ ਦੁਹੂੰਅਨਿ ਕਰਿ ਪੂਰੋ ॥
Full of both the sword and charity.
ਤੇਜਵਾਨ ਦੁਤਿਵਾਨ ਅਤੁਲ ਬਲ ॥
Radiant, majestic, of immense strength.
ਅਰਿ ਅਨੇਕ ਜੀਤੇ ਜਿਨ ਦਲਿ ਮਲਿ ॥੧॥
He vanquished numerous enemies, crushing them.
ਬਿਧ੍ਰਯ ਮਤੀ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਇਕ ਤਾ ਕੇ ॥
Bidhya Mati was his daughter.
ਨਰੀ ਨਾਗਨੀ ਸਮ ਨਹਿ ਜਾ ਕੇ ॥
Like a serpent-woman, none could compare to her.
ਅਪ੍ਰਮਾਨ ਤਿਹ ਸੇਜ ਸੁਹਾਵੈ ॥
Her bed was a source of immense pleasure.
ਰਵਿ ਸਸਿ ਰੋਜ ਬਿਲੋਕਨ ਆਵੈ ॥੨॥
The sun and moon themselves came to behold her.
ਤਾ ਕੋ ਲਗਿਯੋ ਏਕ ਸੰਗ ਨੇਹਾ ॥
A certain love arose within her.
ਜ੍ਯੋਂ ਸਾਵਨ ਕੋ ਬਰਿਸਤ ਮੇਹਾ ॥
As the monsoon rains fall.
ਚਤੁਰ ਕੁਅਰ ਤਿਹ ਨਾਮ ਭਨਿਜੈ ॥
Chatur Kuar was her name.
ਕਵਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਪਟਤਰ ਤਿਹ ਦਿਜੈ ॥੩॥
Who could be considered her equal?
ਬਿਧ੍ਯਾ ਦੇਈ ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਰਸਿ ਕੈ ॥
One day, Bidhya Mati, filled with passion.
ਬੋਲਿ ਲਿਯਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਕਹ ਕਸਿ ਕੈ ॥
Called her beloved to her, embracing him.
ਕਾਮ ਭੋਗ ਤਿਹ ਸਾਥ ਕਮਾਯੋ ॥
They engaged in acts of love and pleasure.
ਤਰੁਨੀ ਤਰੁਨ ਅਧਿਕ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਯੋ ॥੪॥
The young woman and the young man found great joy.
ਬਿਧੀ ਸੈਨ ਸੌ ਕਿਨਹਿ ਜਤਾਈ ॥
Who informed Bidhi Sain?
ਤੋਰਿ ਸੁਤਾ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਜਾਰ ਬੁਲਾਈ ॥
That his daughter had brought a lover into the home.
ਕਾਮ ਭੋਗ ਤਿਹ ਸਾਥ ਕਰਤ ਹੈ ॥
They are engaged in acts of love and pleasure.
ਤੋ ਤੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਨਹਿ ਨੈਕੁ ਡਰਤ ਹੈ ॥੫॥
The king, however, does not fear them in the slightest.
ਤਬ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸਾਥ ਤਿਸੀ ਕੋ ਲੈ ਕੈ ॥
Then the king, taking that very person with him.
ਜਾਤ ਭਯੋ ਤਹ ਅਧਿਕ ਰਿਸੈ ਕੈ ॥
Went there, filled with great anger.
ਬਿਧ੍ਯਾ ਮਤੀ ਜਬੈ ਸੁਨਿ ਪਾਈ ॥
When Bidhya Mati heard this.
ਮੀਤ ਸਹਿਤ ਜਿਯ ਮੈ ਡਰ ਪਾਈ ॥੬॥
She felt fear in her heart, along with her friend.
ਖੋਦਿ ਛਾਤ ਦ੍ਵੈ ਛੇਦ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥
Digging two holes in the ground, they prepared them.
ਜਿਹ ਆਵਤ ਵੈ ਰਾਹ ਬਿਚਾਰੇ ॥
Through which they would pass, considering the path.
ਤਿਹ ਮਗ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਬਿਸਟਾ ਦੁਹੂੰ ਕਰਾ ॥
They smeared excrement on both paths.
ਦੂਤ ਸਹਿਤ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਕੇ ਸਿਰ ਪਰਾ ॥੭॥
And the king, along with the messenger, stepped into it.
ਅੰਧ ਗਏ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਸੂਝ ਨ ਆਯੋ ॥
They went blind, unable to see.
ਤਿਸੀ ਪੈਡ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਜਾਰ ਪਠਾਯੋ ॥
Through that very path, the lover was sent.
ਰਾਜਾ ਭੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਨ ਲਹਾ ॥
The king did not grasp the hidden meaning.
ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਕਾਮ ਕੈ ਗਈ ਕਹਾ ॥੮॥
The daughter went to fulfill her desires.
ਬਿਸਟਾ ਰਹੀ ਦੁਹੂੰ ਕੇ ਲਗਿ ਕੈ ॥
Excrement remained stuck to both of them.
ਸੁ ਘਰ ਗਯੋ ਤਿਹ ਕੇ ਸਿਰ ਹਗਿ ਕੈ ॥
They went home, their heads covered in it.
ਘਰੀਕ ਲਗੀ ਧੋਵਤੇ ਬਦਨਨ ॥
It took a moment to wash their faces.
ਬਹੁਰਿ ਗਏ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਕੈ ਸਦਨਨ ॥੯॥
Then they went again to the daughter's residence.
ਤਹਾ ਜਾਇ ਜੌ ਨ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਨਿਹਰਾ ॥
Upon arriving there, when the king looked.
ਜਾਰ ਵਾਰ ਕਛੁ ਦਿਸਟਿ ਨ ਪਰਾ ॥
The lover was nowhere to be seen.
ਤਬ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਉਲਟਿ ਤਿਸੀ ਕੋ ਮਰਿਯੋ ॥
Then the king, turning back, struck him.
